I found this recipe the other day. It is so good! I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese. Also, I put whipped cream, a drizzle of strawberries (thawed, blended in a blender with a little sweetener), and a wee bit of melted Rich Chocolate Fudge on the top. Hi Bethandmom, thanks for posting this recipe!
I made it last week and it was a huge hit at my house. Even as I was apologising and explaining to my husband that it wasn't a "real" cheesecake (I normally make baked cheesecakes and haven't ever found a no bake variety I like) he stopped and said," I keep saying.. I LIKE IT!! Make it again!"
The things I did differently were to add a little flaxmeal to the base, which I could take or leave, and I had no whipping cream, only double cream (51% fat and not thickened with anything) and so didn't whip the cream, just stirred it through. To be honest, that was sooooo easy, and produced a nice, rich feel similar to a baked cheesecake, that this time I bought the double cream on purpose. Served with raspberries on top, it was a really bit hit in my house.. Thanks! :-)
steffanie3: Broth based soups are great for this time of year and a FC I did a modified "cabbage soup diet" soup with some boneless skinless chicken for protein, I just searched for an online recipe and left out some things if I remember right, I love cabbage

ttate53787: I have been put on a low residue diet. I am only allowed to eat refined grains. In order to follow this plan now would I just have to give up all breads? Any guidance on this type of diet? Thanks.

Bryony: After numerous attempts at baking with coconut flour my husband and I just do not like the taste but especially the texture of it. Is there something else I can use in the recipes to replace the coconut flour?

steffanie3: It depends on the recipe Bryony, is there a certain one you have in mind? Almond flour and oat fiber are used in many yummy baked goods.

Bryony: Basically all recipes Steffanie. I have so many I would like use. Are almond flour and oat flour and/or oat fiber interchangeable with coconut flour?

steffanie3: Not really, coconut flour is quite different as it absorbs lots of liquid and works best with plenty of eggs. I tend to like it mixed with other flours.
