I know I've struggled with thyroid issues, but haven't taken armour...maybe should have. Any way after 5 weeks of strict following of this program found me not losing a pound. Went on a 3 week vacation, being away from the home in another part of the world, eating whatever, and I didn't gain a pound! So, I'm seriously wanting to do a complete blood panel of hormone, thyroid, etc. only have no insurance and the closest lab corp is 110 miles away. Any thoughts or suggestions would be wonderful!!! Thanks!
Didn't Pearl mention something in her chapter on hormones about LEF having some (I think it's Life Extension but I could be wrong) I thought she said you can order some panels yourself but I think they can be expensive. You may wanna recheck on that though because I don't have my book in front of me and don't have the greatest memory
have you tried the interval workouts? they create human growth hormone. if you want to read more about that you can search peak 8 on mercola.com and he sheds a lot of light on the subject. just mentioning in case it can help. the peak 8 really helped me. i hadn't shed any weight after baby #7, actually i gained! and that was without eating sugar, bread etc. once i started the intervals (only fast walking and 4 rounds, 3x week) the weight started to drop quickly. and that was before implementing th mama (i was eating a similar way just without the whole knowledge of the carb/fat insulin business).
2yorkiemama: hi steffanie3! thank you! been a THM for a year now. i am really struggling with menopause. i put on 7 lbs and i am desparate go get them off. i appreciate the answer very much. i purchased some DHEA and Pregnenolone as per THM gals suggested.

tinac: 2yorkiemama- I know that amount would still be FP. Only one tbsp should be around 1.5 fat and less than 1 carb. I was advised by Pearl I could have that amount on S or E days and be okay. I would be careful to not go over fat or carbs on your breakfast

2yorkiemama: tinac and steffanie3 - thanks very much! I really appreciate your time! I in day 4 of FP and seems to be going well. I am so used to eating fat, this couple of days is harder. I'm not a carb girl, really. It's hard for me to think it's ok. EEK!

donawyo: Hello. May we have mayonnaise on S days of a Fuel Cycle?
Mar 3, 2014 15:58:09 GMT -5
steffanie3: Off the top of my head donawyo, I wouldn't, unless it is a homemade. I came away from that chapter really focusing on superfoods that week, so homemade with some great deep S fats would work
