Yes, many women who've had large weight gains with previous pregnancies find they have more reasonable weight gains with THM. You will eat a bit differently though. You will use more Crossover meals and S helpers because you're wanting to gain weight and not use it. And those sorts of meals also are more commonly used when goal weight is reached.
I'm 21 weeks pregnant with #5 and started the plan 1 month before I became pregnant, I'm loving it and my midwife said everything looks great and to keep up what I've been doing! This is such a healthy way to eat when your pregnant, I'd say go for it!
I have morning sickness and don't feel like eating anything on plan, only been doing this 3 weeks when I found out. Eggs are definitely out. Any suggestions? I was enjoying the plan before the Nausea hit.

Fruit sugars ! The bland-ish taste of watermelon has been a lifesaver for me when all I'm craving is toast, and toast, and anything that tastes like nothing ! The fruit sugars in it help with nausea and the water is great for keeping hydrated.
Have you tried Good girl moonshine? The ginger might help with nausea, I like it with sparkling water. Also Lemonade (w/ stevia) was very helpful for me. I don't know if cottage cheese appeals to you but that's something I could eat and its a great source of protein, also oatmeal, I would bake chicken breast over rice, yogurt or kefir with fruit, I was able to eat most veggies steamed w/ butter and a chicken breast or cottage cheese for protein.
lauriebovi: Just starting on this plan. Well I've been starting for a while now. Anyone have a really hard time staying on? I have no issue with what I'm eating. I feel like I'm just lazy and fall into old habits. any advice or personal experience?

steffanie3: lauriebovi, a menu plan really helps me even if it is just a daily plan so I kind of know what I will be eating through the day with snacks and meals. Also for me prepping ahead is a super helpful, having a large batch of something to grab when needed

alane: I've been on THM for 14 months and there is still a detail or two I am not sure about. The book lists 3/4 c quinoa as a serving limit, yet some of the breakfast recipes have 1 c listed. Can you clarify this for me? Thanks!

lynnluce: I have been doing the THM lifestyle for 8 months now with great success, for the first 6 months I have had the weight just slid off, lots of energy, and much happier. Now I am tired all of the time, cranky, and can't get rid of my lower belly. Help

steffanie3: alane, you can do 3/4 of a cup if alongside some other foods (including a bit more E fuel) and a full cup if it is the center of the meal like porridge It is a little confusing.

steffanie3: lynnluce, were you maybe losing too quickly? Maybe your body needs some time to heal?

gaelle: Just noticed the Lifeway Plain nonfat kefir I bought contains 12 sugars!!! :-( Also made the THM pancakes but added an egg beaters thinking it was egg whites. Need to be better at reading labels!

steffanie3: THM, Jay Robb are both on plan. Preferred is a cross-microfiltered whey isolate
Sept 22, 2015 12:12:21 GMT -5
steffanie3: The Lifeway Plain is fine Enjoy it in an E setting. Egg Beaters are ok because they are also non-fat, but they are flavored where plain egg whites will be better You will get there.

mbernadette: I have started to slide backwards after losing 63 lbs. Now I must get back to business. I may require a vavle replacement surgery and also two new knees. I need to be as healthy as possible for these.

htebe: What does JUDD stand for; it was mentioned to a lady who was wondering why she wasn't losing?
Nov 11, 2015 6:23:49 GMT -5
steffanie3: JUDDD has a small mention towards the end of the first book, I think it is a mixing of FP and regular meals by days, but honestly don't recall for sure. It is mentioned for menopausal, stubborn loss mamas.

singtoangels: So I was just wondering, should I really read up on THM and wait until at least after Thanksgiving or should I try to dive into it now? Those who have stuck with it what do you do?
