Yes, many women who've had large weight gains with previous pregnancies find they have more reasonable weight gains with THM. You will eat a bit differently though. You will use more Crossover meals and S helpers because you're wanting to gain weight and not use it. And those sorts of meals also are more commonly used when goal weight is reached.
I'm 21 weeks pregnant with #5 and started the plan 1 month before I became pregnant, I'm loving it and my midwife said everything looks great and to keep up what I've been doing! This is such a healthy way to eat when your pregnant, I'd say go for it!
I have morning sickness and don't feel like eating anything on plan, only been doing this 3 weeks when I found out. Eggs are definitely out. Any suggestions? I was enjoying the plan before the Nausea hit.

Fruit sugars ! The bland-ish taste of watermelon has been a lifesaver for me when all I'm craving is toast, and toast, and anything that tastes like nothing ! The fruit sugars in it help with nausea and the water is great for keeping hydrated.
Have you tried Good girl moonshine? The ginger might help with nausea, I like it with sparkling water. Also Lemonade (w/ stevia) was very helpful for me. I don't know if cottage cheese appeals to you but that's something I could eat and its a great source of protein, also oatmeal, I would bake chicken breast over rice, yogurt or kefir with fruit, I was able to eat most veggies steamed w/ butter and a chicken breast or cottage cheese for protein.
2yorkiemama: tinac and steffanie3 - thanks very much! I really appreciate your time! I in day 4 of FP and seems to be going well. I am so used to eating fat, this couple of days is harder. I'm not a carb girl, really. It's hard for me to think it's ok. EEK!

donawyo: Hello. May we have mayonnaise on S days of a Fuel Cycle?

steffanie3: Off the top of my head donawyo, I wouldn't, unless it is a homemade. I came away from that chapter really focusing on superfoods that week, so homemade with some great deep S fats would work

alicat825: caddaway, I haven't been officially diagnosed but my nutritionist says I have a good chance of having it. THM really helps with it, as long as you balance the S, E, and FP meals. You can't go overboard with any of them
Mar 10, 2014 17:22:08 GMT -5
alicat825: choose which type of meals you are going to eat for each meal. Example: I eat E in the morning, FP snacks, S for lunch, and S for dinner
Mar 10, 2014 17:23:06 GMT -5
alicat825: caddaway, if you notice that your energy levels drop dramatically, try a crossover snack here and there. You will have to find the right balance for you.
