Well, it looks like this is the place to say hello I thought I saw an intro thread somewhere, but...
I'm just starting out, after being a complete and total skeptic for, what? Two years since the book came out? lol I'll be 52 in March and I'm just coming off a 7 month vegetarian stint. Yes, once again becoming food obsessed and not keeping Jesus first. Just one in a long line of trying to be healthy by man's rules and not His. Funny thing is, I just finally happened on a copy of Serene's raw eating book from years ago!
Looking forward to restoring my health and energy. I've been fighting high blood pressure for years, and currently in some level of hip/joint pain daily. I'm too young for all this mess! I want to hike the wonderful Rocky Mountains that God blessed me to be near, as well as ride a horse and enjoy my sons's basketball games, bringing my grandson to Bible study, etc. Not to mention, be extra cute for my hubby of almost 32 years
Anyhow, the nitty gritty: Wife of 1, mom of 5, grandma of 1, children's director of my CBS class, NASCAR maniac, indie author. Not always in that order and sometimes all at once (and, I do yak a lot...just sayin' )

Hi all. I am less than a month away from turning 59 and started on my THM journey 3 days ago. I am overwhelmed even after reading the book but I am told it will get easier.

I am 62 and just trying to understand the plan and get started. I tried doing everything at once but that didn't work. So after reading Gwens nest i find that they suggest starting with breakfast and snacks, then work into dinners. Makes sense. But I sure would like and admit that I need contact and support from 'mature mama's' who are also into this journey. I am looking forward to new energy levels, weight loss, and all around robust health as I enter my golden years!

I am 53 and have well over a 100 pounds to lose. I started THM 2 1/2 weeks ago. I was skeptical because I would lose 5 lbs. and gain it back over and over on other diets. In 2 1/2 weeks I have lost 8 lbs. My clothes are fitting looser. I will measure when the month is over. I am excited about this journey. My dead metabolism is coming back to life!
