I was able to purchase NOW Better Stevia at my local grocery store. Can anyone tell me how it compares to NuNaturals? Also, I have read on Amazon lately that NuNaturals has changed its formula and it isn't as sweet as it was. Can anyone speak into that as well? Thank you!
I use NOW Better Stevia & have used the original formula for Nunaturals. Better Stevia has a little more bulk in the container & I have to use a bit more to get the same sweetness but I really like it & the price was good. It tastes just like Nunaturals to me. I have not tasted the new formula though and have not heard good things about it. When I need to repurchase I might try the KAL brand or stick w/ Better Stevia. I've read good reviews about KAL & might like to try it just to explore options but I'm happy w/ the NOW brand.

I haven't tried the new nu-nats, but loved the older version. I am using Now stevia at present it's alright but I miss the old nu-nats. You do have to use more to get the same taste as nu-nats (about double for me). I'm going to try other stevias when the now one runs out, but it's do-able for now
missyhi: Is drinking oolong tea ok when pregnant?

steffanie3: missyhi, if you are uncomfortable with something it is always good to ask your healthcare provider, Oolong is the type of tea served at most Chinese food restaurants

steffanie3: I drank a bit in pregnancy but not large quantities because of caffeine and not with my prenatal because I read teas can inhibit folic acid absorption, which for me was easy because I took them at night anyway and wasn't having caffeine then

babutler: Love the recipes in the book. My husband even likes most of them. If I could just stay on plan at work. It's hard because I am a nurse and work 12 hour shifts. I do ok until 4 or 5 start looking for something to eat.

gs3691: Any good ideas on cooking with quinoa? I tried only once, and I was not pleased with the outcome.

wrapmama14: I love quinoa in soups, add to chili's or broth soups for a more filling high protein meal. I love it but it is bland by itself.

steffanie3: I like it cooked in broth

maggiewonders: Quinoa mixed in with steel-cut oats makes a rockin' breakfast cereal. Wisk a half scoop protein powder w/almond milk & pour over, and then add whatever flavorings, sweetener, toppings - my usual is berries/yogurt/and a sprinkling of chopped walnuts.

shannonlynn: Does anyone have suggestions for a syrup that work on the plan? I originally ordered the Ali's All Natural they suggested in the book, but it is not available anymore. I tried a recipe from Pinterest, but wasn't happy with the taste.

steffanie3: Nature's Hollow makes some syrups (and other things) with xylitol, netrition.com carries them as probably other places online

steffanie3: I haven't made zucchini fritters Sophia, I think fritters are typically pretty good sized (deck of cards maybe).

steffanie3: I don't see a correction on the Macaroons, but I do add a bit more egg whites if they don't seem wet enough to stick together I really enjoy those.
