I want to keep up drinking this shake in mornings that I've been used to pre-plan. I've tweaked it for THM, but keep being conflicted on if it is E or S. I put 1/3 c. flax seed in blender and blend. Then add lots of kale and/or spinach, whey powder, berries and an apple (used to include orange pre-THM). My husband and I split it. I am thinking it might be E, but then wonder if that is too much fat from the flax seed. I don't want to use less flax. Is drinking this hurting THM progress in any way? Any suggestions appreciated. Thx.

I think if you are splitting this with your hubby it would probably fall into S-helper range. The fats from flaxseed are too high for E but the amount of carbs in the apple are too high for S. Since you are splitting this it's like eating 1/2 an apple, that carb amount is still too high for S but not quite into crossover territory. You can decide if you think this hindering your weight loss & make adjustments or if you are losing at a comfortable pace than just keep enjoying it

Yes, without the apple this would be an S. Have you looked at the recipe for Earthmilk in the book? This is similar to your green drink & might give you some ideas to tweak your recipe to fall into the category you are shooting for, either S or E (you can switch it up). Earthmilk is delicious & worth a try if you haven't yet!

It sweetens the drink enough that even my children like it. Do not use white sugars in your drink for sweetness as it will increase calories of your healthy drink.
