At this time, there is not an official recommendation to use monk fruit, but the early research on monk fruit extract is encouraging. Pearl is continuing to look into it as a possibility prior to making an official recommendation. Ladies with allergies may make their own informed decision on whether or not this would be a good option to consider. Products that use tiny amounts of monk fruit extract, in conjunction with other on plan sweeteners (0 carb products) are fine to use

I thought that was just trace amounts. Some of the things they say are on plan contain trace amounts of off plan ingredients.

Sugar is the second ingredient and it has a carb in 1/4 tsp, that with the fact Serene and Pearl hasn't given the go ahead on monk fruit yet, it not on plan. You would be much better off with just the erythritol or erythritol with stevia extact for homemade "Truvia" or Truvia itself.
