Ok, I am a bit confused about the exercising part and how to eat. Serene says to eat an E Snack right before or an E meal about an hour before the workout. Then, right after the training (that’s supposed to be about 20 mins) you are supposed to eat protein within 45 mins. Here’s my first questions – say I had an E meal an hour before, exercise 20 mins and then eat a Protein snack within 45 minutes, that adds up to a maximum break inbetween eating of 2:05 (if I wait the full 45 mins and have exercised only 20 mins) whereas usually the recommended time is at least 2,5 hours – does the waiting rule then not apply here? I understand that it’s best to have a fuel pull snack then, so that at least the previous carbs don’t interfere with possible fats. But then Serene also says that within 2 hours after the workout we should eat an S Meal. So, does the 25g protein just not count as a meal in that case?
Thanks for you support and clarification!

Here is a quote from Pearl "Serene always has protein after a workout because she works out so intensely, much more so than me. I think that if you are within a 2 hour window of a protein rich meal, you'll be fine. Or just chug a protein rich drink before and during and you'll be fine. No need to sweat these details too too much."

I had the same question for some time going on in my head. I finally decided to check the forums. I usually eat one or two Wasa lite crackers before a workout, which are low carb anyway. I figure I have absolutely blown through those carbs by the end of the workout, and I am ready for another fuel. I usually do a protein/fat smoothie within 45 minutes post exercise. I have not gained any weight doing this at all. Actually my weight is pretty much falling off. Another option Serene mentioned in the exercise chapter is having coconut oil before working out. Sometimes I pop 2 pieces of skinny chocolate and I am good to go!
