I just bought a dehydrater and im having fun with it. Has anyone ever thought to use Dehydrated Zucchini or spinach in the pizza crust instead of shredding and then squishing out the moisture? I know I tried the regular way and it didnt really work very well, it was kinda soggy and gross. But Ive never tried to dehydrate a zucchini before and I was curious if anyone has ever tried it. And would it be bad to do that to our veggies? Like using dehydrated fresh spinach in the spinach bread instead of frozen spinach? Just wondering. thx

I haven't tried it, but it sounds like a wonderful idea. Perfectly on plan as well

Interesting idea! Please let us know how this works. I have Thrive zucchini in my pantry, which would be similar to dehydrated, and may wish to give it a go, myself.
Best wishes for success!

well i tried to dehydrate a zucchini and spinach. It worked, they turned into little flakes, but the problem lies with it not being enough! an entire giant zucchini (which was over a foot long and about 4 inches in diameter) made only a very little baggie of powder. not sure its going to be enough for a pizza crust, lol. Oh well, now I know. =)

Thank you for experimenting and sharing your results with us! I wonder if you didn't completely remove the water if that would make things better - dehydrate partially or pre-bake the zucchini slices or spinach leaves before using in the crust? I haven't made that recipe yet, but I have made the pizza crust that is cheese and it was a winner, winner, winner!
