Hi,
I'm 33 years old about 100 lbs overweight and let me just say THM has been a Godsend for me, since going on plan in May I've lost 30 lbs. when I was reading the book the part about the hormones really stuck out to me on both the low estrogen and low progesterone I thought "yep that's me, that explains a lot." It was like I was reading a list of my symptoms. So I went to the dr and had a full panel of blood work done, the problem is everything came back within the "normal" range, at the low end of normal but still normal. The only thing she recommends is going on hormonal BC to relieve the heavy flow and cramping, which is absolutely , positively not happening!
Is there anything anyone here might recommend as a course of action? Any approach anyone may have used with their doctor that helped? Any over the counter options? Or should I just assume since the tests came back normal that it's all in my head?

From what I have heard some people think the blood tests are more accurate and some think saliva tests are. You can order your own saliva tests online. You can also get OTC progesterone creams. Check out progesteronetherapy.com. That was the site I found most helpful.

My doctor suggested Primrose Oil supplement tabs, which really have helped! As we continue to loose weight, our hormones begin to balance out - at least that is what has happened before. Who knows now that I am older? I am hopeful! Blessings...

You might look into a supplement called Vitex. There is an article here: natural-fertility-info.com/vitexI do not agree with everything on this site but it has some good information. Of course, do your own research, talk to your Dr, and make your own decision. : )
