I am waiting for test results to come back but my Naturopath has had me tested for Hashimotos. I'm hoping I can stay on the THM eating plan but I don't know if there are special guidelines as to what I'm supposed to eat/not eat. Does anyone else have this and do THM??

There is a family history of Hashimotos in my family so I have done a lot of reading about this. Some feel that since it is an autoimmune response your body is having, eliminating the triggers for the response can eliviate symptoms. The two biggest known food triggers are gluten and sugar. The third one (slightly less likely to cause an autoimmmune response) is the caesin in dairy products. I have found it to be very easy to do THM GF and sugar-free. Dairy is harder with THM but some do it.
I recommend a book called, "Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms When My Lab Results Are Normal?" by Dr. Datis Kharrazian. Also, Chris Kresser (Chriskresser.com) does podcasts on thyroid which are very informative.
Feel free to reply if you have questions. Hope that helps!
