I'm new on my journey and I am wondering what to expect. Although health is my main goal, weight loss is a pretty close second. I am wondering if anyone gained weight before they began losing when they first started or did it take some time for the weight to start moving or was it pleasantly instant (my dream lol). I know we are all different but just wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experience.

Welcome! I have been a THM for nearly a year. I started this plan as a healthful eater who couldn't loose the weight. In the beginning, I lost quite a bit and over the last several months have dropped several sizes; however, over the last few months, the weight has plateaued. When I honestly look at what I have been doing, I find a few crossovers and too many helpers (when I haven't reached my goal weight - those are no no's!) that are sabatoshing my weight loss. I also find myself eating a lot of S meals, deep S meals, and not enough E meals or FPs. It is imperative to be honest with yourself, really pay attention to what goes in, and I believe vary meals to include all three types. Please don't be discouraged - this is the most amazing journey to health and weight loss for me, and I have been down more paths than I would prefer to admit! Use the boards to your advantage - there are so many helpful ladies here. Enjoy and God bless you!!!
