Would bought sourdough bread but as fine as homemade or must it be homemade? If I make it myself what flour can I use besides rye as I don't like rye? Anyone have a tried and true recipe using other flour? Thanks
The store bought sourdough bread, even if you knew it was made from complete whole grains, may very likely have other things added to it that don't really fit on plan, and usually they are only partially cultured. Serene's recipe is completely cultured, which makes it more superior nutritionally and also lower glycemic. If you don't like rye, you could try using all spelt, or a mixture of wheat and spelt, or whatever you prefer really. Although, Seren's bread doesn't taste like a traditional rye bread, which has other seasonings added to it to give it that bold flavor. Plain rye flour is actually quite neutral.

So the wheat I buy from Wall Mart would be ok? How about part unbleached and part whole wheat from the store? I just bought a few bags of unbleached before Christmas and would like to have a way to use it up but if there is no way maybe I will just give it to a friend. Can I use the same measurements in Serene's recipe just use different flours? Thanks
steffanie3: daisymae27 Welcome There isn't a set number, in an S meal you are to eat until satisfied, not stuffed but satisfied. You can have up to a 1/3 of a batch of Skinny Chocolate a day is the only fat guideline I can think of off the top of my head.

daisymae27: Yes, that does help. I have been putting coconut oil with a little THM sweetener in my coffee and then blending it in the blender. It's really good! I guess After years of diets that require me to count fats, I'm afraid I might overdo it.

dynamo: So, I remember reading somewhere that 2 light rye wasa crackers can be used in a FP, but the nutritional info says that 2 crackers is 11 net carbs.. isn't the limit 10 net carbs for FP? Does anyone have an explanation for this? TIA! : )

steffanie3: I agree Green tea can be subbed in Earth Milk so I took that as they were similar. I personally like all kinds of teas and drink both at different times. Many types have their own benefits, I would use what you have for now

steffanie3: kari1052 it wouldn't be the same brand, but Swanson's Vitamins sells individual bags of konjac noodles, Miracle noodle brand. Although I prefer THM's (and THM's are cheaper even with shipping) you could get the basic konjac noodle idea that way
