Trim Healthy Mama now has a Pinterest community page!
pinterest.com/THMamas/
If you already have a Pinterest account, feel free to follow us and we'll follow you back ASAP and add you to our list of contributors so that you can pin onto the boards there.
The idea behind the THM-friendly Pinterest is to give us a place to share our food links and ideas in a fun-to-view way! Lets encourage each other and pin many delicious on-plan recipes. If the recipe is spot-on plan, just post it in the appropriate folder for others to enjoy! If it is in need of tweaking, just mention what you'd do different in the description, to give the newbies a leg up.
If you have tried that particular recipe before you posted it, it'd be lovely if you'd mention that too, and maybe if it was, in fact, yummy!
If you haven't had much experience with Pinterest - it's fairly simple, don't be afraid!
Pinterest is just a place to browse and save (pin) pretty pictures and links that you find.
To Join our Pinterest Community:
You'll need to create a Pinterest account if you don't already have one. Then, go to our page pinterest.com/THMamas and press the "Follow" button just below our profile. Now drop me a line here and let me know you'd like to join the pinterest community and I'll add you to the list of contributors so that you can get started sharing with everyone. You'll be able to share pictures that you've discovered on Pinterest or on the web with other THMs!
How to Pin onto our Community Board:
You may see an irresistible recipe as you are browsing on Pinterest, and you want to share it with your dear THM friends (we hope you will!). Simply press "repin" and share it in the appropriate folder of Trim Healthy Mamas!
OR, you may be browsing on the internet and come across a wonderful recipe with a beautiful photo that you can share with others. If there is a "pin it" option already present on the page you can simply press that and jump right in to Pinterest and save it at the appropriate place.
If, on the other hand, you find no such option, you may want to install a "Pin it" button on your browser so that you can easily begin sharing pages you discover.
How to Install the Pin It Button
Go to your Pinterest account, press the "about" drop down box in the upper right corner of the page, and click "pin it button". It will take you to some directions on how to install the button to the bookmark tab on your browser.
Once that is installed, sharing photos and links is a breeze! Just surf over to the page you want to share (it must have pictures if you wish to link it to Pinterest), now press your handy little "Pin It" button up on your bookmarks bar! A little box will pop up with different photos from the site and you press the one you wish to share, and then you can write a little description about it.
Let's encourage one another and share in our journey to slimming, healthy lives!!
I'll be happy to answer any questions I can! However, I am not a Pinterest expert by any means , so back me up, my Pinterest-savvy trim mama friends!
