I was designated Cake Maker for our sister Mercy’s 21st Birthday meal last night. She wanted the Secret Agent Brownie Cake (page 383). I made a double batch and literally hid a leftover piece. Guess what I had for breakfast this morning? Nothing better than brownies for breakfast with coffee and cream. Loving my Trim Healthy Mama life.

Does a double batch make one 9 x 13 pan or 2? That looks really great!

It makes 2 pans. But I think mine are like 9x7. 9x13 makes them too thin for just one batch but would probably work for two.

How many servings should one recipe of SA Brownie cake make? I cut one batch into 12 pieces. They were pretty small. Then I ate 3 and felt greedy. I'm having a hard time with the servings in a lot of the recipes. LOL. Mostly the desserts....

One cake makes about 9 servings. S desserts should not be overconsumed but you can have bigger servings of Fuel Pull desserts. 3 pieces may have been too much but waaaaay better than having 3 real brownies or 3 real pieces of cake so... baby steps!

Ok, thanks. I'm going to write that in the book. It really helps to know the servings.

Looks fantastic! What kind of icing did you use?

Love those Secret Agent Brownies! When the subject of THM comes up around new people, my 10 year old son raves to them about "my mom's awesome pancakes" (Trim Healthy Pancakes)& that he gets to eat "BROWNIES FOR BREAKFAST" sometimes! lol - after the 2nd batch, I let him in on the secret ingredient - he still loves them Happymama, we don't even use icing - we love them as they are! I have put the ricotta cream on top before tho and that was delicious!

I made this today for the first time. I sweetened it with only Nunaturals and I made it way too sweet. How much stevia do you use to make it just right? I don't use truvia because my tummy is too sensitive to it. Thanks so much!!

I use 3 shakes if NuNaturals in place of each Tbsp of Truvia in the recipe. That works well if you have your NuNaturals in a shaker bottle.

My whole family loves this recipe! I've done two attempts at the icing (Pearl's quick version) with mixed results, though. Is the 1 1/2 quarters of butter equal to 1 1/2 sticks? It has ended up bitter...I've tried sweetening it with only stevia extract...should I try it with the ground truvia instead? I made the last batch of brownie cake with no icing and it was still super delicious!
