I have never done Firums before & don't see where I can post my questions. I see where I can reply to other members comments, but don't understand where I go to type in my own questions. Thanks!

I ordered the THM PDF for my Kindle July 10, 2014 & started the eating plan the very next day. So far, I have lost at least 20 lbs. I am loving the diet & the recipes. Thank you for following God's leading & developing this eating plan & sharing it with us all.

hoagie, if you go into a topic area on the upper right hand side there is a create thread. You have to be on the main page of the area and not on a topic already created or it will say reply in that space instead Let me know if I can help further, this is how to do it on a PC I am guessing mobile would be similar.

Hi, I'm new to Trim Healthy Mama. I have been fighting my weight the last 4 years when I lost all of my baby weight thu Weight watchers ( my baby was 13 at the time) I have almost gained it all back! So... I am looking for a new plan, way of life and my friend is having success and recommended the book to me. I purchased the book and the ebook. I am ready to start but havent even made it past the introductions in the book. Do I need to read the whole thing before I can start or do some of the chapters speak directly to the program and the way to do it?

Hi I'm new to this Forum and Facebook and THM! I've read the book and am slowly starting by coordinating S and E meals from ingredients we already have. I'm anxious to get in to full swing so I'll be browsing and gleaning knowledge. It's great to have a place where there is positive feedback. Have a great day everybody.

What's so great about this plan is it can be the new healthy way you eat, not just a diet. ☺ I find it easy to implement long term, and hope you will be able to, too!

I'm new and thought I'd introduce myself. 2 weeks ago I went to the doctor to refill my asthma prescription. After weighing in at 220 (the highest weight I've ever been) I had him check if maybe my thyroid was out of whack. No, it wasn't. I have nothing to blame for my weight gain except for the fact that I stopped exercising for the summer (lack of time!) and I was eating horribly for the entire time my kids were out of school. For 3 months I ate fast food and pizza and drank beer and cocktails. I let myself go. This put me in a funk, understandably.
I've been watching my friend lose over 100 lbs on her year long journey-- and she looks smoking hot. I have spent that same year running, working my butt off, failing, drowning my misery/depression in alcohol and fattening foods, and generally doing it all wrong. I was feeling so hopeless, fat, and desperate when she posted another amazing photo on facebook. That was the proverbial straw. I ordered the BIG book right then and there and went grocery shopping for the basics--things I saw in the online recipes, just to get me started.
That was one week ago. Monday I ate what I knew from online and started waking up at 5 again (like I used to!) to walk/run a mile and workout. I started eating the S meals and threw in a E meal yesterday. Even went out to eat last night to my favorite BBQ place and ENJOYED a GIANT salad with chicken, ranch, broccoli, cottage cheese, and onions. NO GUILT and on plan! I can't believe I overcame the cravings for their fried okra, ribs, and texas toast. It didn't even bother me to sit next to my family happily eating the foods I used to love. It was empowering!
Also the sugar addiction, I thought that one was going to be impossible to break. Turns out I like stevia. Huh.
I did have a glass of wine last night (5 oz cab sav! NOT the whole bottle!) and I feel like the road to addiction I was on has been turned around. There have been times I Felt like maybe I was heading into alcoholism. NO MORE. I enjoyed the wine not to get drunk or sleep, because I am sleeping JUST FINE now....it was simply because I wanted to enjoy a glass of wine.
This is just my first week and I can see how this MIGHT be beginners' luck. But it's entirely possible my "addiction" is a different kind now! The type that loves and enjoys a healthier lifestyle and a trimmer waistline. I know I haven't necessarily LOST anything yet but I am thankful and hopeful that the changes are coming. I am journaling all my food and drinking a gallon of water per day. I feel amazing!
Thank you, thank you, Pearl and Serene, for this book! I KNOW I can do this!

Just saw this lostmermaid222 and was really impressed. I don't think it's beginners luck! If you are on Facebook you will see thousands of testimonies just like yours. Keep up the good work!
