Yes I am finding my hubby doesn't like the puddings either which is sad as that is my goto dessert or snack when I need something sweet. He also currently likes things soooo much sweeter than I do but I am hoping that will change as he gets used to the Nustevia and gets the sugar cravings out. In all reality he will probably be doing the plan about 90% of the time instead of all the time like me. He just likes things he likes and I don't think he will give them up completely! We are only on day 2 with him but he currently still thinks the plan is restrictive of too many foods and he says it feels like a diet. But partly I think that is my fault since I have just been making him whatever I am eating instead of adding more to his since he consumes more calories than I do. So he feels hungry I am sure. Working on it! I always give my husband way more food than I give myself so he feels satisfied, you don't want him feeling hungry. Men love to be full, my husband eats oodles and likes things way sweeter than I do too. I often make him his very own desserts because I cannot handle things as sweet as he likes them sometimes. He thinks my own desserts are tasteless but they are just right for me. Has your husband tried the Chunky Cream Pops yet? They are my hubby's fave.

bonkayb, my husband likes to eat more, too. However, since we've been on the plan a little while now, his appetite has come down quite a bit. I don't have to pack nearly as big of a lunch for him as I used to.
He gets very happy when I make him things like salmon, shrimp, steak, or lasagna (made with dreamfields noodles) for dinner! And he loves when I have desserts for him. The cheesecake is a favorite and he loves when I make him strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce. He likes to have sunflower seeds and pistachios around for a snack.
I really like the chunky cream pops Pearl mentioned. My dh wasn't as fond of those as I was. But, I have a much sweeter tooth than he does.
Last night I made the Basic Treat Squares for the first time. They are really yummy. I did put coconut in them (which my hubby doesn't like), and gave him one to try (didn't mention the coconut though) and he liked them!! =) Maybe your hubby will like them for a snack.

Thanks for some of the ideas ladies! I think that is the somewhat overwhelming thing to me to... I just kinda throw something together whenever it's time to eat - I usually try to think about what I'm going to eat next after a meal. But that's not going to work very well for him, I'm going to HAVE to plan ahead and cook ahead to have stuff to send. Also, my husband is a bit picky, so I'm going to have to play with things a lot to see what he likes and will enjoy. He is not much of a pudding fan either, so I'm not sure he will enjoyt he gluccie puddings. I think once he gets started and sees some success he will be more excited and maybe willing to try some things that are sorta 'new' or not what he would usually want to eat. I'm excited about him joining me though!

Thanks for the continued suggestions ladies! Once my hubby gets back to work (he works in the schools so is off for 3 weeks almost for the holidays) I think it will be easier for us both. He is a creature of habit and doesn't mind eating the same things every day with just a bit of variety. So we will probably just pick some things he likes and go with those over and over. Ha! I was just able to go to the store so I should be able to try a few more snack type things before he heads back to work! Thanks again!

My hubby is on it as well. He lost about 5 pounds quickly in the first week, but has picked up 3 in the past few days. He's frustrated. But I really think its due to his metabolism being slow. He has gone years with eating no breakfast. Just coffee and cream. Salad, fruit and maybe a slice of pie for lunch and then nothing til dinner. He would eat a large dinner with lots of carbs and cookies or large bowls of ice cream late at night.
Now that we are eating THM, he is still skipping breakfast, eating a salad for lunch (no pie!), no s afternoon snack and then whatever Thm approved meal I have served for dinner. He eats way less than I do in a day. He's very busy at work and runs out of here every morning. Today, I will be making up some breakfasts to have on hand so that he can grab and go. Sent a bag of almonds to work with him. He works at a hospital and prefers to get food from the cafeteria for lunch. How can I get his metabolism boosted? I really want to help him.

Would he like the skinny chocolate? I think coconut oil boosts metabolism.

He does Jody. I just made him up a batch of skinny chocolate. Also made him some cinnamon muffins for breakfast tomorrow morning. Thanks!

My husband saw me loosing weight and eating yummy food, I was also preparing it for the family, so he decided to join in. He has lost 20 pounds so far. Last time he stepped on the scale I asked how much and he told me I would be mad at him. He had lost another 2 pounds. He is loosing faster than me, but he does have more to loose than me. So, I am glad. He does feel a little drained of energy as we mostly eat S meals and then did the 2 weeks of fuel cycle. And, he has bronchitis and is on his second round of antibiotics and steroids. Its been almost 2 months. This has been a hard sickness to kick and I have heard others taking a month or more to get rid of their coughs. Hopefully once he is well, he will enjoy the weight loss and have more energy.

My hubby is NOT on plan but lost 7lbs the first week just by eating dinner with us! He has enjoyed most of the food.

I opened this ready to say Help my husband has been starving for two days while eating this way. I am glad to know he is not the only one who eats so much. I would LOVE to hear what you feed your husbands when he wants to " sink his teeth " into something that is not meat. He is tired of meat after 4 days of eating S meals.I made him the Pancakes -E for this evening when he comes home from skiing, maybe that will satisfy him. He eats so much and it is taking so much time and food to keep things around for him. Wow!! This seams like so much work but I think once I get used to the change it will come easier.

This thread is for those who's husbands want to be on the plan. Any tips for getting a husband to want to be on the plan? Honestly, I haven't even broached the subject with my husband but he is very hard core about not having a lot of saturated or total fat in his diet and I just know he would not go for it. I am only on day 4 and dinners I have just sort of made like normal but tweaked slightly.

Wow. I feel so bad I don't pack my husbands lunch or get up to make his breakfast. He is on his own there. Not only that. When he comes home and we are sitting down to a delicious meat meal, he is only eating the veg and grain part because he is a vegetarian. Someone's this just feels bad. It just seems like most fancy and tasty vegetarian meals are a mix of grain and fats. I always try to have earth milk and kefir for him which he loves. But they don't seem that lavish at dinner. I feel I need to serve him better. Any ideas appreciated. How do you manage a second meal for DHs?

My husband doesn't need to lose weight but he wants to eat healthy and be supportive so my family is on plan. Which I'm thankful for! The problem I'm having is keeping up with his appetite and my budget is also taking a big hit! I have two little ones so between them and all the extra cooking i can barely keep up. My husband eats a ton and I'm trying to figure out crossover type lunches and extras i can add so he'll quit eating all my desserts (in one sitting), and gulping down whey protien. Any suggestions?

We've done high protein low carb before and lost weight - this book puts everything into a new light and biblically sound.... at least not just coming from so called "fad" know-all's! My hubby is happy to jump on board... even if it's not the "whole" time, most has got to be better than nothing. I'll keep reading your posts to keep me going on knowing these hubbies can be won over!
