Hello All, I so very much want to make this style of eating work for life BUT, I have a eensy problem, I love coffee, I love flavors in my coffee! Anyone expieremented and found a yummy, healthy, flavor creamer idea? salted caramel mocha and peppermint mochas r my favorite and I really have tried to "create" but not having much success, also I am alergic to dairy .... anyone???
Here is what I do. I put a bit of cocoa in the bottom of the mug. Add a bit of coffee and stir to a paste. This helps the cocoa blend in better. Add the rest of the coffee. Add almond milk, stevia, and peppermint extract. Enjoy! For those not allergic to dairy, I have found that 1 tsp of cream makes this soooo much better!
I have been enjoying my E/FP coffee with a couple Tbsp almond milk, maybe 1/2 of a drop of orange oil (I touch the rim of the bottle with my finger and then just dip it into the coffee. This stuff is seriously strong.), and a few drops of almond extract. This has been my favorite way to have coffee w/out cream so far. I'm looking forward to finding out some new ways too.

I just made my own nondairy creamer and I'm so excited so I had to share
1 c almond milk 1 c flax milk (or coconut milk, which would make it an S) 1/2 tsp glucomannon (or more for desired thickness) 1 tsp vanilla (or other extract for flavoring) sweetener of choice (I used 2 packets of Truvia, which would be 1 1/2 tsp)
Heat almond and flax milk briefly (I used the microwave) so the glucomannon would dissolve. Stir in vanilla and sweetener. It is so yummy!
This would be an E or FP for almond/flax and S for using coconut milk, correct?

aldaczka: sorry i hit return and it post it. i eat oatmeal in the morning w/berries= E. snack 10 almonds. lunch- a pc of salmon, green beans and some eggplant. dinner-chicken or salmon broiled salad w/olive oil and snack i had a cake in a mug. Im not hungry. help

JennyMomof8: Thank you, joyfulmomof6, I do have almond milk in smoothies quite a bit but not everyday. Do you drink it straight up? I haven't tried it but I do know it has lots of calcium.

varneygang6: Does anyone have any input on the regular use of stevia?? I have just heard some controversial things about it and was wondering..especially the thoughts on it affecting your fertility..sure don't want that to happen..I have struggles in that area anyway!
