Ok so my dh wants to take me out for Valentines Day on Saturday. I am so excited he even told me that we were going to go to a comedy club and that's right up his alley, I just hope it will tickle my funny bone. I am so happy he planned all this. The only thing he said I need to do is figure out what and where we should eat. As he fully supports my THM new shape happening.
Well I started the One Week Cycle and will be on a E meal day. What do I do? This will be my 2nd week through and I don't want to destroy it but when does my dh ever plan anything?? I couldn't say no.
So what type of restaurant do I go to? What do I eat? Help, suggestions please. Also, we will not be going to some fancy place. It just has to be dinner!
I don't know if this will help you or not but I'm in the same boat. My plan is to eat E all day but allow myself to eat an S dinner...I can't think of a healthy, on plan E meal to eat out & my Fuel Cycle is merely a way to boost my metabolism, it is not a measure of my success on this plan. If my husband wants to take me out then I will drop the FC for the night & completely enjoy my time w/ him & I can eat an S meal w/ no guilt. Enjoy your date, comedy clubs are so much fun!

I was going to say the same thing as cashen You could get a low-calorie salad, with chicken breast and low-fat dressing (fairly common menu option). Or a white fish with citrus (depending on where you go).
But I would probably switch it up and do the S, I don't think it would be destroying your week and you could finish your last day as E in the morning (guessing you have one left). You could always decide for sure once you get there as long as you have had 3 hours to switch.
Thanks ladies I appreciate the advice! I know I shouldn't worry but I am still trying to loose and last week loosing a 1.5 lbs I wanted to see something like that this week. I suppose I could just do a 3rd week if Monday I wake and don't feel like flopped. I need this boost as well. We had talked prior to starting so that I didn't have any of these days happen. But when dh get's an idea he runs. Which is good, or we'd never do anything as I am a home body! :-)
steffanie3: Broth based soups are great for this time of year and a FC I did a modified "cabbage soup diet" soup with some boneless skinless chicken for protein, I just searched for an online recipe and left out some things if I remember right, I love cabbage

grammalynda: if there isn't a reply button on a thread (too old maybe?) should I start a new thread for that subject?
Nov 18, 2014 22:06:22 GMT -5
steffanie3: Hmm, on the upper right as long as you are logged in there should be a reply button, but you sure can start a new thread if you want

grammalynda: I figured it out-when you do a search it takes you to the conversation-there is not a reply button-but the name of the thread is listed above the date and if you click that it takes you to the thread and the reply button. thanks stefanie3 and rebekahrl

glammom: Any suggestions as to where to purchase MCT oil? All new stuff to me. Purchase many items for plan on-line, some at Kroger, some at Trader Joes and Whole Foods. Any suggestions of locations to purchase MCT oil at brick and mortar stores?

steffanie3: GNC would likely have MCT or a health food store that carries Now Brand, that is one easy to find kind.

ttate53787: I have been put on a low residue diet. I am only allowed to eat refined grains. In order to follow this plan now would I just have to give up all breads? Any guidance on this type of diet? Thanks.

steffanie3: I haven't heard of a low residue diet, maybe make a post of a suggested menu you have been given and we could help?

Bryony: After numerous attempts at baking with coconut flour my husband and I just do not like the taste but especially the texture of it. Is there something else I can use in the recipes to replace the coconut flour?
Dec 19, 2014 12:19:20 GMT -5
steffanie3: It depends on the recipe Bryony, is there a certain one you have in mind? Almond flour and oat fiber are used in many yummy baked goods.

Bryony: Basically all recipes Steffanie. I have so many I would like use. Are almond flour and oat flour and/or oat fiber interchangeable with coconut flour?
Dec 19, 2014 16:01:07 GMT -5
steffanie3: Not really, coconut flour is quite different as it absorbs lots of liquid and works best with plenty of eggs. I tend to like it mixed with other flours.
