I just made some lemon mousse yesterday with added berries. It has a great flavor. Put it in the fridge thinking it would thicken. Well today, I took it out and it was not thick at all- just soupy. So, put it back in the blender and added two more tsp of gluccie (now a total of 4) and was very patient and kept blending, blending, blending. Still, no change- this is strange as I've made this in the past and it's always gotten quite thick and mousse like. This is the konjac foods brand, not NOW. Anyone else? I wonder if my blender isn't working right.

That is soooo strange. I've never had that issue with the Konjac Foods brand but I have sometimes noticed the Now brand can take a while to thicken. Did you make two cups worth of pudding? It should not have to take 4 tsp no matter what. I don't know what went wrong! A mystery for sure.
I find that the Konjac Foods brand does not neccessarily thicken further in the fridge. I get all I'm going to get out of it in the blender. The Now brand seems to thicken more later in the fridge though and I don't know what the difference is.

Ok, I've noticed the same thing with this gluccie! Before this, I was using another brand- PGX naturals, and it def. thickened more in the fridge and I liked that . I really think my blender isn't whipping as good, might have gunk stuck in the blade. I'm getting it really clean to see what that does.

I tried making the lemon mousse with the gluccie. It was really soupy- used my vitamix so I thought it would blend well. Needless to say I tossed it. It was like glue consistency. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do differently. I really want to utilize this new ingredient!!!!

That's what happened to me too- I think I will really watch the amounts of the ingredients. This is very strange indeed. I have to wonder if the cold weather would have any affect- sounds crazy, but when I've made this during hot weather, it all worked fine. Don't know!!

Hmm, I have the Now brand and haven't had that problem. I wonder if there are "batch" issues, unless it works if you try again.

Are you blending, letting it rest a couple minutes, and then blending again? If I only do the first blend, mine does not seem to thicken well, but i haven't really had a problem with it if I let it rest and then blend again.

But I think she mentioned on face book she was doing that.

Same problem here. Pretty much loved everything else I've made from the book, but the pudding will not thicken, after 15 minutes of whipping in the Vitamix. It is Konjac brand, in the gold bag. Vitamix starts to heat up after a few minutes of whipping, but the book said heat helped with thickening, so I kept going. Then refrigerated overnight, then re-whipped, added another teaspoon and whipped some more. Nada. It is somewhat thick - like soup, but just won't set up. Only thing I can think was that I did double the recipe, since my 7 kids wanted to try it too, of course. Looking forward to figuring this out! As I said, everything else has been great!

Mine came in a blue bag. I hope we can get this figured out! I seriously need my gluccie to work right!

I've had same problem with glucomannan. My puddings are either liquid or like glue-horrible. Can't figure it out as my daughter and I shared a bag and her puddings turn out fine. I have a BlendTech (like a vitamix only cheaper) and have tried to make my puddings in it. They don't thicken. When I try to add more gluccomannan it turns to horrible thick glue with a rubbery texture. Hope someone comes up with an answer to this. I'd love some good pudding to keep in fridge.

Carol....what kind of blender does your daughter have? Angie, were you one of the ladies on fb that had to get a new blender recently? This is so strange and I just wish someone could figure it out so you ladies can have your puddings back!!

Andrea- no I didn't have to get a new blender. Carolr, does your daughter live in the same climate as you? I'm in So. Cal. My blender isn't high end- just an Oster, but I had another brand of gluc and it always did great in it! Just boggling!
