do you all think it's ok to substitute a tablespoon of peanut butter (just peanuts nothing added) to smoothies instead of whey powder? or almond butter (just almonds)? maybe I missed it, what are the benefits of whey powder and can I just skip it to save on costs? thanks!

You won't get the benefits of glutathione and other metabolsim boosting benefits if you sub PB. Also that would make your smoothies always S when some of them are great as Fuel Pulls. We list a lot of benefits for whey protein in the Foundation Foods chapter. Serene and I have been buying ours at swansonvitamins.com quite inexpensively. you get 34.6 oz of Premium whey protein for $24.95. It lasts a good while and is so worth it health wise.

Can you find one sweetened with only stevia? That would be fine.

I can only find the body builder style which is sweetened with sucrose. I found one unsweetened but it is £84 ($137) for 38 servings!! If anyone from the UK finds suitable whey protein, can you provide a link please?
