Pearl, Are there any specifics we should check for before purchasing maca powder? I do not see a brand you recommend as you do with some other items...THAT makes it a whole lot easier. I just want to be sure that I am choosing healthy before making an investment. Thanks.

I kind of have a question about maca also. My doctor wants to put me on Femmenessencepro for peri menopause. I really want to do this but the Lord truly blessed us by allowing me to have a baby at the age of forty-five. I'm still nursing her twice a day and the directions for this product says not to take if pregnant or breastfeeding. I can understand if I was nursing full time but I'm not. My doctor says I shouldn't take it untli I'm completely done nursing. Have you or Serene taken this while nursing?

Marygay I remember reading in the book that Serene it to help with postnatal hormone drop. p. 473 "Serene has also suffered from low oestrogen headaches after her births. She has recently discover that incorporating one or two teaspoons of macs root power each day into her diet directly after birth helps immensely." So I would take that as it being ok to take while breastfeeding. My 10c worth
