I made the roasted garbanzos (YUM!) and my whole family loves them. I used canned, but I think since we all like them, it would be cheaper to buy dry beans and soak them.
My question is, in the recipe it just says "home-soaked" garbanzos. Am I correct in understanding that you don't actually cook them but just soak them? If so, how long do you soak for?
Thanks in advance.

You should soak them overnight or for 7-12 hours, and then cook them. The cooking time may be a little shorter than usual. This will give you the same texture as your canned garbanzos.

Do you soak them in regular water- or salt water?

I usually soak mine with either a little baking soda or a little vinegar. However, you can soak them in just water. I have yet to make the Crispy Garbanzos...but I think I'll soak some beans today to make them!! Chickpeas are about my favorite bean!!!

What is the serving size for these? They are so good that it's easy to just keep on nibbling!

Follow the guidelines for beans/legumes in the E Meals chapter. Maybe 1 - 1 and 1/2 cups.
