Hi everyone! I'm a 27 year old stay at home mama to my 4year old DD and my 18month old DS. When I stopped bf'ing my son I realized I had some major hormonal imbalances. I'm praying this is the answer to my prayers on finding a way to lose the weight and rebalancing my hormones. I know it can be done, I just need to do it. I have about 100lbs to lose :-( but I will do it. I will only ever look at it as 5-10 lbs at a time so that its easier. Blehhh enough of that. I can't wait to make new friends here!! Ill be blogging about this too :-)

Hi Katydiddo6, I am new here too, I bought the THM book last week and started reading it:) Loving the book so far and am looking forward to getting started. A friend of mine just lost a bunch of weight with THM approach and support and she say's its amazing. I too have 100 pounds to shed:) We just had our 6th little one (he is 7 months old) and our oldest is 10, so basically I have been pregnant or nursing babies for 10 years. We eat whole foods already and try to eat healthy however, I discovered I wasn't losing weight with my approaches b/c my body was starving, I have been eating more and losing a few pounds:) our bodies are such a tricky thing. Look forward to chatting with you soon. WE CAN DO THIS!!! Blessings, Shannon

Welcome Kattydiddo6 & Shannon! I will be excited to hear how you progress. I am pregnant with our 8th. So, I am not trying to lose any weight right now. I got pregnant just a few weeks after starting THM, then with my morning sickness it was very difficult to keep it up. I was feeling better enough by almost 20 weeks to start THM full- force again. However, I didn't do very well over vacation and it was hard to get back on track after that. I have dedicated my THM lifestyle to the Lord and am back at it now! I am excited to finish my pregnancy well (I am now 30 weeks) and lose my extra weight after the baby's here. Even though I have not been nearly as diligent as I should have been through my pregnancy so far I have still gained only 11-12 lbs. I am hoping to gain no more than about 5-6 more lbs over the next 10 weeks (or 11, or 12!)(as I still have an extra 35 lbs on me already).
THM really seems so easy to me! However, as with any change in our lives, our attitude has a huge role to play in how well we will handle that change. I am working at giving thanks in everything and rejoicing always and praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18), not just in my eating but in every aspect of my life. This IS God's will for me!
