I am very newly pregnant (found out last week, yay!) We have been on a long journey to get here, we are very excited but still praying that God allows us to see this pregnancy to completion with a happy healthy baby at the end. I know there are many woman who THM their way through pregnancies, since it is so healthy and a complete "diet" ( I think of it now as a way of life) But what do I need to add or change, or make sure I'm not missing out on to keep my body healthy for our growing baby? And by that, I mean foods, and things of that nature- not supplements... I've got that department covered . All of my life I have eaten pretty unhealthy, so this way of thinking is still new to me, especially with the added responsibility God has blessed us with Thanks for any advice!

Just curious how you've been feeling and if you're able to stay on plan during the first trimester? I found out also a few weeks ago that I am pregnant (YAY) and had been following thm for about 4 weeks previously and lost about 3 pounds. However, morning sickness kicked in about a week ago and I can hardly eat anything on plan I eat mostly cereal, and sandwiches and the thought of some of my favorite thm meals make me sick!! I am really praying to get over this phase wwithout too much damage and be able to eat on plan the rest of the pregnancy.

I'm also expecting, and FINALLY nearing the end of the 1st trimester (12 wks today). I was unable to stay completely on plan due to morning sickness. I just ate the only thing that sounded good-usually not on plan, but tried to do THM when possible. (Though I found it made me sick if I didn't add at least a little of the 'other' to my meals [carbs to S, fat to E]). I have gained somewhere in the area of 1-3 lbs, depending on the day. Not as good as my last two pregnancies, but not too bad. I'm planning on sticking to things more and more as my stomach allows, and adding exercise back in when my awful FATIGUE chooses to leave. Hoping to do as well with this one as #2 and #3- about a 20-25 lb gain. Or, optimistically, a tiny bit less

Jessica- congratulations! This is #4 for me and with my previous pregnancies I gained anywhere from 40-60 lbs my last pregnancy resulted in preeclampsia so I KNOW I have to eat better this time! I too am suffering from extreme fatigue..my muscles feel so worn out all day that I haven't been keeping up with exercising at all. It will be exciting to keep encouraging eachother by posting our progress on the forum. I am starting out about 20 lbs heavier than where id like to and am hoping to minimize gain with the help of thm. Anyways, best wishes to you on getting back on plan and I'll be looking forward to tracking my progress too

How exciting trose84! I know how that is, with my first I gained somewhere around 50-60. Knew that couldn't happen again. I started a thread on the General board called 'Expecting, anyone?' so it will be easier for us to keep up!
