My husband works 12 hour watches (he's military), alternating nights and days. He eats 1-2 meals and 2-3 snacks during that time.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has to deal with a similar situation, so let's share menu ideas!
Today I packed him: -a massive salad of romaine lettuce, red pepper, cucumber, feta cheese, and a whole can of tuna packed in olive oil. This he will dress with homemade Italian dressing. (S)
-roasted pistachios in the shell (S)
-fat-free cottage cheese and a green apple (E)
He skeptically told me it might not be enough!! I wanted to pack all S foods, so that he wouldn't have to think about timing, but I was rushed and couldn't come up with another S snack.

Once the semester starts, I'll be working a 12-hour day once a week, so I'm interested to hear what people have to say about this too. I generally eat breakfast at home, but then need to take both lunch and dinner, as well as snacks, with me that day. Because I don't actually stop working for meals, I prefer things that are easy and don't have to be heated up, so most of my ideas below are not things that you'd need a microwave for (though soups are great if time and appliances are available)
I love the salad idea for one of the meals, and I love the idea of keeping it all S so timing is not an issue. Other snack ideas that would work with S:
chicken, salmon, or any other easy-to-eat meat (add large romaine leaves to wrap it in if desired) crabby patties hard-boiled eggs 2% or full-fat Greek yogurt (or cottage cheese) with some berries wrap with cheese/meat and veggies (joseph's pita or lavash, or the egg white wraps if they travel well - anyone know?) raw veggies for munching any S crackers with cheese, guacamole, or a little hummus (S if with chana dahl) do the puddings travel well? they'd be great little desserts, as would the fudge or skinny chocolate

My husband often works two jobs on the weekend, a day job then an evening job. I feed him breakfast then send him off with two meals and a snack.
I send a sandwich of some sort for lunch made with Joseph's or Oopsie Rolls for S or Trim healthy Pan bread for E. I send peanut butter and celery or nuts and cheese to go with the sandwich. Sometimes I'll send a big salad instead.
Thankfully, he likes the puddings. Some men don't but my husband really likes the peanut and choco flavored ones and they keep him happy for an afternoon snack. Or I send a Ricotta Creme as he likes something sweet in the afternoon.
Then I send him two wraps for his suppper with meat, mayo and cheese. He doesn't like to eat heavy before his next job. He can eat the wraps while he's driving to his next job as I omit lettuce or anything too hard to be folded in. I use either egg white wraps or a low carb tortilla. He comes home pretty hungry so I leave a snack out for him. By that time, I'm in bed. It's the early hours of the morning.

My husband works 12 hours+ days every day as well. He takes a smoothie with him every day as well. It's an easy way for him to fill up when he's super busy and can't even sit down. He doesn't mind that it's not frozen, he just shakes it and drinks. The frappas are SO super filling and a great snack.

Lots of great ideas here!! Keep sharing ladies! I was thinking that to keep things simple for husband I would try to pack all one style or another, maybe with some FP snacks once I get the special ingredients. I've only had my book 3 days so I've got a lot to learn.

my husband works 6am to 6 pm and eats breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack at work, yesterday i sent him with 3 savory protein muffins, leftover cheeseburger pie (amazing if you haven't tried it my hubbies favorite) with broccoli and chocolate peanut butter cookie, and greek yogurt with blueberries and walnuts. then when he came home we ate supper together, Steak with mushrooms and a salad.
tomorrow I'm sending him with 3 savory protein muffins, leftover venison steak, sweet potato with stevia and cinnamon and green beans, then for snack a cinnamon muffin in a mug with cream cheese icing. I like to put one sweet treat in his lunch pail and he usually prefers a warm meal.
I would love to see others ideas too!

My hubby can work some long days, too! He's usually out in the field or driving though, so I have to do ready to eat things that don't need to be heated. (How I wish I could send something to heat up somedays, though!!)
Today he got two sandwiches on panbread and veggie sticks with a laughing cow wedge. For breakfast I sent greek yogurt with stevia, half a banana, and blueberries mixed in.
I feel like I always send him with a salad, pan bread sandwiches, or wraps (lettuce leaves with lunch meat and cheese inside). I would love to be able to change it up a bit more, but not sure what else to send that does't need re-heating. I do plan to buy a hot thermos and do some soups, too.
I saw in another post someone who had a bell pepper filled with tuna salad and cheese on top. Does that need to be heated? If not, he would love that.

My hubs works 5:30 am to 8pm or 5:30 pm to 8 am depending what time of year it is, but he's also a true ectomorph, so I send him things from the book along with two good servings of carbs. He usually takes leftovers, cheese and meats sliced, sliced veggies or a salad, homemade granola, yogurt, and a piece of fruit.
