Thank you to Rashel and cashen10 for mentioning the Couch to 5K program in another post. I am on week 6 and loving it! Even though I didn't start out "on the couch" as I had been already exercising, I never would have thought I'd be able to run/jog as much as I've been. So many new, exciting things through THM...so many obstacles blown out of the water! My faith has grown so much as my weight goes down! Here's the link in case anyone else is interested: Couch to 5K

That's so great to hear! I am so thrilled with the couch to 5k program that I started it over w/ my oldest 6 children (PE) & when we finish we will start the 5k to 10k program. I'm a very slow runner & I thought training for a 10k might help me finish a 5k at a better speed

I hope you got to the end and are still running Nanci. Just thought I'd add in that I started the C25K 2 years ago. I completed it, discovered I love running, and kept going... I did my first marathon a couple of months ago. I am the slowest 'runner' around but I love being out in the fresh air and just plodding along in my own space.

Wow, good for you, cj4kids! I'm impressed.
I do like being able to add this in to my workouts. It's funny but in the rainy weather, I do my running in the house while I listen to the bible on audio.

I can't wait til the weather warms up and I can start up again. I have no where to run inside and the cold hurts my lungs.

I run up and down my hallway or sometimes just run in place This morning wasn't raining or cold so I was able to get out and run 3 miles. It's such a great feeling and something I'd never thought I'd be able to do.

I tried 2 years ago, then broke my foot after the first week. I started last year, then got pregnant. This year, I only have a single jogger, but 2 little ones. I don't think I'm ever going to get through it, lol.

Wow, I never considered running in place! I would definitely have to do that if I tried it inside, we don't even have a hallway. I think I'll just wait on warmer weather, it has got to get here eventually!
