Just getting started on the program. I made the THM pancakes but the fat free cottage cheese being lumpy was a problem. I tried making the same recipe but switching out the cottage cheese for ricotta. The pancakes taste good but because the ricotta is not low fat or fat free so did I mess up? I can't find low fat or fat free ricotta. I guess I am wondering if I mix oats with fat full ricotta is that having both carbs and fat so cross over? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Yes, you are right. To keep in an E setting with the pancakes, low fat dairy is what you want to stick with. I am wondering: Did you blend the cottage cheese in a blender with the rest of the ingredients? It should be totally emulsified and not lumpy.

I made the THM pancakes and 1% milk/fat GV cottage cheese and berries. I used my blender (Vitamix) for the oats and then for the cottage cheese and berries. Both were wonderful! Even hubby loved them. So good, that I will make them for breakfast guest.

This morning I made half a cup of Old Fashioned Oatmeal and had half a grapefruit. My question: Was that enough? I was satisfied.
I'm just not sure I'm doing things right. I know that was a E-meal and I should eat every 3 to 4 hours. I don't feel I have really started on the plan even though I have been trying and making mistakes since Jan. 30, 2016.

Yes, I think the oatmeal and 1/2 grapefruit was a good carb amount. You may want to add a bit of protein, like whey protein powder or collagen stirred into you your oatmeal. Most meals should be centered around protein. Although, there is some protein in oats.

Okay thanks rebekahrl, good to know. I don't have any whey protein powder or collagen yet, will Turkey Bacon work?

Turkey bacon might not be your best option, I don't know what the label says on your pkg and I don't buy turkey bacon so I don't know what your fat/protein is per serving. You could beat 2-3 egg whites and add them to your oatmeal and stir as you cook for the last 3 minutes. Or scramble the egg whites and eat them on the side.

Okay thanks susieq, I can do that.
Sorry, it took me so long to respond here. I'm also having trouble learning my way around this forum. I don't remember the Threads I have posted in. Also, I am having trouble finding post from members that are recent in 2016. So, I've kinda been sticking with my journal.
How do I mark the Threads I want to go back to?

I don't think I can help you with this techie stuff. I just follow the most recent threads. I've been on this forum since it started, so I've read everything that's come through! You might be able to go on your profile and look at which threads you have participated in.
I'm sure someone will be able to help you that knows more about computer stuff.

I'm on a personal computer, Blessed Beyond Measure. I have been going back to my profile and looking at my activity to see where to go back to, like susieq said and it has helped. Tonight I noticed a small box just under the login. It is labeled "New Participated" so that has really helped too.
Thank you susieq and Blessed Beyond Measure.

On the main page, near the bottom, one of the sections is 'Forum information and statistics'. It'll have a 'recent threads' and 'recent posts' you can click on those. From there, anything you havent seen before will be marked 'new'. That's how I fibd what's been posted since I checked in last.
