I am taking baby steps to cut harmful chemicals out of our lives. We are eating the THM style, using vinegar and baking soda (and when necessary bleach and amonia) for cleaning, and more natural laundry detergents. That gets me down to what I am putting on my face.
In the past (when I had money), I used Clinique products. They are long gone. The book covered skin care, mentioning some product from Kit Naturals. I bought a Burt's Bees lipgloss.
I know I want to avoid parabens, phthalates, EDTA, Propylene Glycol, synthetic colorings, ureas, vegetable oils (and probably a host of other chem lab specials).
What other products are available for eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick etc that are easier on the body?

Hi! I'm right there with you. I love beeyoutiful's line of natural mineral makeup. You can purchase samples for a reasonable price to try it before you commit to buying. www.beeyoutiful.com/beeyoutiful-skin/mineral-makeup/samplesYou can earn "points" for doing reviews of the products, which can be counted as discounts towards future purchases. A little bit goes a long way, especially if you are used to regular cosmetics. Mine last me a very long time.

Thanks for the referral. This is just the sort of thing I am looking for. Now for some restraint...I can't buy it all at once

You can also try Arbonne but it is super expensive but on a plus note lasts longer.
