Im trying to come up with some FP snacks in between meals. Do we need to worry about the amount of carbs in berries? Or do we not count that? Im thinking about a cup of Dole frozen mixed berries (unsweetened) with some Fat Free Redi Whip. But when I look at my caloriecounter it says the berries have 17g of carbs. Do we count these?

Remember to subtract the grams of fiber from the total carbohydrates to get you NET carbs (the amount you 'count', if you are a numbers person). 1 C of mixed berries or less is considered FP. Just blueberries are FP at 1/2 C or less, as they are higher in carbohydrates.

The Dole Mixed Berries bag says 1 cup is 18g carbs and 5g fiber. Does that sound right? It does say its not sweetened but yet says it has 7g of sugar. Would that still be a FP?

So that would really be 13g net carbs. I just looked st a bag of frozen strawberries I have and they were net 10g. I suspect your mixed berries contains blueberries or other slightly higher carb berries which ate only supposed to be 1/2 c at a time. By my calculations you could cut it down to 3/4c and be okay. That's what I do with a mix, cut it to about 3/4 cup just because I am not a counter But I think a cup is ok too, one of those things to follow the plan instead of the numbers.

so then heres another question. Is it ok to eat these ALL the time? I mean I love berries and redi-whip as a snack more than once a day. Is that going overboard? Should I limit fruit?

I think it is always good to change it up on your body There are no rules though that would prevent it I suppose. If it were me I would keep it to once a day probably, maybe at different times too. I love berries as a dessert or snack. You do want to keep protein in mind when you are planning snacks as well
