I made Basic Sandwich Buns today- but I do not have a muffin top pan and I wanted them to have more coverage area then a normal muffin pan. What I did have, is a donut pan. To bake donuts, so I pretty much made BAGELS!
I didn't change the recipe at all and it made 6 bagels.
I ate one for lunch today as an open faced sandwich with leftover beef Strognaff topping. So yummy!

Oh, that sounds really good tinac! I have a bagel/donut pan that I have yet to use, it might be time to whip it out & try this. Thanks for posting.

I finally made the basic sandwich buns. It was easy and I was surprised how they looked like a gourmet roll. The texture was so nice and it held up nice and sturdy. I need to make these again. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a muffin top pan. But even without this pan I found that these did not spread out too much.

marie4u, you will find the recipe in a book called Trim Healthy Mama. We cannot give you the recipe here since it is copyrighted. You will need to buy the book or see if your library has a copy.
