I realize that most sit down restaurants have THM options, but I can't take the time for them. At least one day a week I spend in a very dirty environment where I can't wash my hands and eat a meal from a cooler. I need to go out to a fast food restaurant.
I am finding this to be quite a challenge, and I'm sure I'm not alone. This thread can help all of us. Please list the meal combos and fast food places you've found that you can stay on plan.

This is all I could find at Panera. Am I missing anything? I hope my Panera has the Power Bowl Panera (S) Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad Fat 24g 7 net carbs 400 calories Panera (E) Bowl (1.5 cups) Low Fat Black Bean Soup Fat 4g 31 net carbs Only 230 calories a snack I guess with Sourdough Bread it would work as a light lunch Panera (S) Power Chicken Hummus Bowl Fat 10g 14 net carbs only 270 calories a snack and carbs maybe too high for an S? Panera (S) Asiago Roast Beef Sandwich w/o bread I'm not sure this may have too many carbs even w/o bread. Asiago Demi loaf is listed as only 21 net carbs and the sandwich with bread as 63 carbs. Where are all the carbs from?

I missed this before For the Panera items can we get some of the ingredients to clear them up? Likely you want to skip their sourdough as it wouldn't be whole wheat, but you could have just a bit of whole wheat bread on occasion with an E (basically like the Subway idea from the book). Wendy's small chili over side salad ~E Wendy's also has some other yummy salads, you might need to leave off croutons and check out the dressings McDonald's whatever burger(s) you prefer no ketchup, you can add mayo if you want, cut up and eat them over a side salad~ S Arby's roast beef, turkey or ham sandwiches no bread. An example there I like is promotional but the gyro, here they put it in a bowl and it has lettuce, tomato, onion, and taziki dressing.~ S Taco Time chicken BLT salad no chip strips, with salsa and either sour cream or ranch on top~ S

Some mamas enjoy sliding pizza toppings of a couple of slices of pizza into a Joseph's pita, on a 1/2 a lavash, or on or by a salad or some pizza places will do pizza "in a bowl" basically all the toppings no crust~ S

My 'fast food' of choice would be a rotisserie chicken w/ prepared veggies and ranch. Or a grocery store salad bar. Or grab a container of plain lowfat keifer, sip about 1 cup and have a piece of fruit...(sour, but I like it...)

Did I miss that in the book? Or am I not understanding your comment? No Arby's or Taco Time here but thanks for the meal ideas. Panera is my most frequent Fast Food place since I eat with another person those days. The Steak Sandwich has beef and horseradish and mayo and lettuce and tomatoes and red onions on it and cheddar cheese. I don't see how it could have 67 carbs! They've changed the nutritional menu and I can't find the demi roll info listed anymore. So you're thinking the Black Bean Soup with Whole Wheat bread would be good for an occasional E? I see they now have a sprouted whole grain roll!

You want all on plan bread to be whole grain, then sourdough or sprouted normally. I don't see a whole wheat on their website (just took a quick look), since Subway's is whole wheat it is an exception in the book I would go for the sprouted roll probably, it isn't ideal as something like Ezekiel, but I would probably stick to half since the soup has a good amount of E fuel or someone mentioned you can switch the bread for an apple. I would eat about any of the options from the Hidden Menu if we had Panera, the hummus one might be a Crossover since hummus tends to be on it's own generally. www.panerabread.com/en-us/articles/access-into-paneras-hidden-menu.htmlI would eat the Steak Sandwich you mention with no bread, I am guessing the nutrition is a mistake or it is from the roll? There could be a bit of sugar in the horseradish spread, but likely a trace I would guess. Some more ideas I gathered from other ladies: For Chipotle, I usually get their burrito bowl with no rice or beans and S ingredients and double meat. Taco Bell cantina protein bowl is a crossover McDonald's bacon ranch salad with grilled chicken (but order with a vinaigrette, as their ranch dressing is too carby) "I'm on the road right now and just had dinner at Panera. I'd have to see the full info to confirm but I may have just managed an E (can you imagine): miso broth bowl with lentil, quinoa, brown rice, kale and chicken breast. It *seemed* very low fat. At worst it was a light XO."

I didn't quite understand what you said about the bread... Is there anything that is on plan at subway?

What about getting wraps, then plopping it in a Josephs wrap brought from home?

I just had a McDonald's Southwest Salad (no dressing) with grilled chicken. I removed the tortilla strips, but it still had a small amount of cheese and corn in it. I'm thinking this was not a good choice since I forgot about the corn, plus the chicken has some weird sauce on it. Light S? I'm only on day 3 and was hoping to incorporate and E salad, but that didn't happen. Either way I don't know if it was enough calories.
Thanks for the Wendy's chili tip. I do like their chili.

I would guess the corn amount is small enough for a garnish, which is ok for S, if not I would probably consider this S Helper, either way a good learning THM meal E meals tend to be harder eating out angela16 for sure, welcome to the boards

At Panera I don't think the bean soup and an apple would be enough food for me, maybe I could add a simple salad to that and keep it an E. At Panera I agree that the Steak Sandwich HAS to be listed wrong in the nutritional data. I don't eat the bread or the roll, I just get an apple to eat later or at another meal. At Panera I've eaten a couple of things off the hidden menu. They seem low calorie though. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a Chipolte
