I can hardly believe I've been doing THM and checking out this forum almost daily, for 2 years! I started when my second last bAby was 3 months old. He just turned 2 in November. In June of this year, 2014, we had another baby boy, baby #8!
I'm wondering about doing the fuel cycle during nursing. I know, I've read many times that we need to be very careful to have enough milk and energy to take care of everything. I might be a bit selfish in wanting to get some of this fluffy stuff off of me, but I'm just really wanting to lose more of my weight, but being healthy at the same time, before I conceive again. I was very strict with weight loss mode when I first began (when my 2-yr old was a nursing baby) and I lost nearly 50 lbs. but, he was a skinny baby, but happy and content. I had lots of milk, but not sure if he could gain since I was losing). With this last pregnancy I've lost 25 lbs all together in 5 1/2 months. Now that I look at it, the number looks good! Lol! But, I'm still 20 lbs more than what I weighed before conceiving him. I've done mostly S and E with helpers and C/Os thrown in occasionally. My baby is not fat, he is just nice, I think. So, my daughter wanted to do the fuel cycle so I said sure let's do it. We just finished day 2 (deep S). I felt tingly all over today and noticed hunger much easier. Energy has still been good and baby seems to be doing ok. I just wanted to check in with all of this and get some feedback from the 'experts'. I don't have FB so I can't read what they've posted there. I'd like to know if doing this for 1 week would be ok and what others have experienced.
Thanks!

I think you are listening to your body well and likely ok to do a FC Just keep listening and watch your supply like you mentioned. I have been tempted too, babe just turned 8 months for me and I have been tying to put it out of my mind, but I am hoping to get the scale moving nicely again as well. I have been focusing on some deep S a bit, instead of lots of cheese and cutting back the nuts in some meals. Which honestly before getting pregnant I hadn't had to really think about too much, but thought it might be a gentle nudge before a FC. I seemed to have noticed getting more Es in now was helping too, but I haven't been sleeping as well as when I noticed with that so I need to focus on that as well. I would really stock up on the coconut oil on your deep S days and keep plenty of snacks in you on the FP days and again just proceed with caution

Thank you steffanie! Are non starchy veggies allowed in good amounts? I tried reading about that in the book, and it said a few. I fried just over a cup of broccoli with my eggs this morning and it made a big difference. I've been doing well today. I'm so glad that you gave me a cautious green light!
By the way, I've often wondered about your THM journey. A while back I looked for a journal or testimony about your journey and couldn't find anything. Are you planning on writing something up?

Yes fill up on the non-starchy veggies, particularly greens. I enjoy spinach with eggs I think all I have (and it is pretty old...) is on the meet the moderators I think trimhealthymama.freeforums.net/thread/25/meet-moderators?page=2 I could update with lost more weight (passed another goal) and had fertility return thanks to THM, had a TH pregnancy and now am back to trying to work on Trim (not too hard, just staying on plan) with a blessed THM nursling
