Hello All,
I was reading a post recently about "on the go" snack ideas. This is a critical part of staying on plan for me as I am on the go a lot. One of the suggestions was an E snack of a small piece of fruit but make sure to pair some protein with it. The suggestion was a handful of nuts (almonds I think). Aren't the nuts considered an S? I work much better on the black and white of true E and S as opposed to Crossovers. Before THM I always used nuts as protein sources. Thoughts?

Yes, nuts are an S! They do contain both protein and fat. :-) But, with an E snack you are allowed to have a small amount of fat. I think you'd want to have a very small handful. Say 8 or 9 almonds. Page 80 under the heading One Teaspoon Only explains this in greater detail.

There is a brand called Blue Diamond Almonds Bold, Wasabi and Soy Sauce flavor.
Fat 15g Total Carb. 6g Dietary Fiber 3g Sugars 2g Protein 6g
Does this make them a E nut or are these "off plan". I am not a fan of plain, unflavored nuts.
Thank you for your help.

I can't imagine any nut being an E , but what are the ingredients?
