Hello!. Although I do read the Facebook site, I am on the early side of pregnancy and wondered what is the healthiest route for a baby. I have read Nourishing Traditions and honestly cannot add that recommended amount of fat into the diet. I get it, but I don't think I could afford let alone drink that much raw milk even if I tried. I guess between healthy building up of weight, exercise, and taking care of our bodies, have any of you found something that works well? I am definitely eating more crossovers and snacks which helps for feeling full. I also want to be able to breastfeed and have had problems with supply and mastitis in my last two babies. So any advice would be welcomed! Thank you, Michelle

I like much of what NT says, but I like to apply some of that thinking to THM and keeping my blood sugar stable There are several of us now who have had Trim Healthy pregnancies and some that are in the middle of it. I personally while pregnant aimed for a Brewer diet idea of 80 to 100 grams of protein a day, which is really doable on THM. I liked doing one of the shakes that has cottage cheese and adding protein powder, those are like 35 grams of protein in one and the rest I would get through regular THM eating. Lots of coconut oil is a good idea as well for the good fats it contains, plenty of eggs, salmon, leafy greens, berries (pretty much the Foundation Foods chapter

My PG went much better with THM than when I was drinking A LOT of milk. That poor baby had 3 chins and was nearly 11lbs, lol.
My best pregnancy advice is to stay on plan, but don't be afraid of crossovers. I ate lots of them, only gained 18lbs and had a 10lbs baby. (That's small for me. You probably won't have one that big;) )
