Hi there - I have just started the THM plan and am loving it. I am experimenting with at least 3 new recipes a week and I have struck a small issue with some ingredients that I am hoping can be swapped out. I am a vegetarian (who eats fish, dairy and eggs) so cannot use the Collagen in some recipes, would it be suitable to just add more whey?. Is that a suitable alternative for the recipes in the book?. I also have the same issue with Gelatin...I usually use Agar Agar but not sure if that would work in these recipes?. Last but not least my tummy cannot tolerate Psyllium Husk yet I would love to try the wraps etc - will swapping out with Oat Fibre work?. Would I need to up the quantity?. Any suggestions/recommendations would be sincerely appreciated, am very keen to try these recipes out!. Thanks :-)

There is a fish gelatin, but you'd have to experiment with it to see how much you'd need. Some people have had success swapping psyllium husks and oat fiber. Though, the oat fiber doesn't quite gel the same. Again, you'll have to experiment. If you do use agar agar, be aware that there is no fibre in that, like in the gelatin and collagen, so you'll need to add some protein on the side with your meal/snack. Adding more whey would be a way to do that.
