Is anybody else out there in full-time Christian ministry and expected to 'have it all together' yet cannot get a handle on losing weight? Sometimes I feel like I am such a hypocrite.

Hmmm. You sound like you are being to hard on yourself? I know, because I am hard on myself sometimes, too. It's easy to be super strict, till you crash and fall off the wagon. Be gentle with yourself. Remember this is a lifestyle change that will result in weight loss. Not a crash and burn diet. I know that for me, staying on plan makes the difference in how my day goes and how my life runs. Because it is the difference in feeling good and feeling really bad. Do it for your health and let the weight follow.

Oh, I should mention I am not in full time ministry. But as a wife, secretary to my husband, mom to 11 children, chief cook etc. + trying to do a small home business, church and kids activities, my life can be very busy and hectic.

Thanks rebekahri. You really hit the nail on the head when you asked if I was being too hard on myself. I have been told that so many times by my dear husband, and as somewhat of a perfectionist, I know I need to work on letting that go. I have lots to learn and due to the crazy busyness of life right now, haven't had enough time to read the book and get a total handle on the program yet. Feeling a bit confused, but trying to take a day at a time and focusing on eating 'clean'.

When you start something new, it can be confusing. Reading the book should definitely help clear some of that up!
