I did manage to drink more fluids yesterday. It is so hard for me during these cold months-all I want is coffee. I plan to make the cranberry wassail in my crockpot to help all of us consume more fluids.
B: crockpot choc-pb steel cut oats & lite trimmy (E) L: trim train soup (that recipe sure makes a load of goodness!) with cabbage, radish, cilantro, Frank's & lemon lime "pop" (FP) Sn: celery with pb junkie & ginger trimmy (FP) D: crispy salmon over riced broccoli slaw & skinny chocolate (deep S) Sipper: wassail, pumpkin pie sip
Today's menu is less slow loser and more trying to stick to plan! We have a Drama production tonight with a soup dinner provided, so I will look for broth based soups. My kiddos wanted me to bring my mum's potato and bacon soup, which is NOT THM...at. all. Maybe I'll make a soup that is THM - if there is time!
B: eggs whites with bacon garnish, loads of mushrooms, and onion, Trimmy Lite. (FP) L: halibut parmesan bites and a BIG green salad with balsamic and olive oil drizzled over top & a lemon lime "pop" (S) D: broth based soup... Sn: deli meat roll-ups (3) and pickle slices (FP)
stacylynn: Oh, yummmmm! I love your variety! What is kelp noodle mix? Stewed okra? That sounds super good! I tried your umami (sp.) recipe, on another link, and thought it was wonderful! Is that similar to yesterday's lunch?
Thanks for posting your menu. I often get stuck in a rut and appreciate being able to view what other people are eating.
It should have been "kelp noodles mixed with" (fixed post).
I did a bag of okra in the crockpot with a small can of crushed tomatos, thyme, bayleaf, garlic and a little hot sauce to make the stewed okra. I had the okra over sprouted brown rice for lunch yesterday with some chicken breast. That was good too.
My menu today: B (E): Ezekiel toast, peanut junkie butter, 1/2 a banana L: (dS) spring greens salad with baked drumsticks, skinny chocolate D: (dS) spaghetti squash with maple butter and bacon S: to be determined Maybe just another piece of skinny chocolate, so I can finish out the day in deep S.
B: sweet potato with cinnamon and gentle sweet, trimmy lite (E) L: loaded fotato soup with green onion garnish, lemon lime "pop" and green salad with lemon squeezed over top (FP) D: venison tacos with wonder wraps, shredded cabbage, onion, salsa (S) Sn: celery stuffed with PB junkie, chai trimmy (FP) Sip: wassail, pumpkin pie
Its cold and I don't want to eat cold food like salads, so I'm going to have to work to get more veggies in. You're breakfast sounds good. Maybe I'll try a sweet potato at breakfast.
B: (E) Ezekiel toast with ricotta and cinnamon, 2 plums L: (E) Ezekiel toast with peanut junkie butter and small banana D: (deepS) Roast pork with steamed cabbage, spaghetti squash with maple butter for dessert, & a piece of skinny chocolate S: (E)grapes and goat cheese Sip: Hot shrinker
I totally understand, Queen. Cold veggies are more difficult to consume during these frigid months. I challenged my kiddos to eat vegetables at every meal, which is why the sweet potato for breakfast. It worked! It's difficult being creative enough to keep it going now.
I pretty much repeated my line up from yesterday, but in an effort to get some okra in the mix, tonight I made a secret big boy and drank it warm. Well half of it. I'll drink the other half for my last snack.
B: carrot cake and lite trimmy (E) L: trim train soup with cilantro, cabbage, onion & baby frappe (FP) D: crispy salmon, Queen's okra & chai skinny chocolate (Deep S) Sn: apples and pb junkie (E) Sip: hot apple pie and hot winter wonderland

Trying to mix it up. Left to my own devices I would eat toast at every meal. So I tend to prefer E's.
B: (light S) chia pudding with some sunflower seeds and blueberries L: (S) chicken leg with steamed cabbage, spaghetti squash, butter, cranberry sauce D: (E) creamy grains with apple and cinnamon S: (S) 1/2 avocado & 2 bacon strips
For the hot secret big boy, just make as normal but add another cup of water instead of the ice and heat gently. I thought it needed some creaminess, so I added some cashew milk. I think I might try adding okra to the hot chocolate trimmy and see if that works any better. But I wasn't in the mood for it tonight. Maybe tomorrow! Or maybe I'll just stew up another pot of okra.
msjongg: Just wondering... Are rice noodles on plan?

queen: Probably a good idea to start a topic asking about it. Generally, I think they want you to use the whole grains rather than something made from brown rice flour, but maybe there's more to know about it.

queen: Got a notice that the THM website is having a big cyber-Monday sale and are offering a couple new items. They have also introduced flat rate shipping. Time to stock up on that Gentle Sweet.

marmee: One question: if I have early morning coffee with coconut oil ( or if I choose cream) are they considered a snack, should I wait 3 hours before eating? If I eat an S meal soon there after am I ok? Would that be a problem if I eat an E meal soon after?

queen: You can post here if you like. But you can start a post by entering a forum (any of the linked titles above this shouting box). Once you are in the forum, you should see a "Create Thread" link in the title bar. Click that to get a posting screen.

queen: If you eat an S meal within an hour of your oil/cream coffee, it is all considered the same meal. Otherwise, you need to wait the 3 hours.

auntchocolate: I have a question i am still confused about crossover meals how exactly do i incorporate them and how often ?
Dec 2, 2019 1:09:22 GMT -5
queen: If you are in weight loss mode, you avoid them. Maybe throw in one or two a month if you aren't losing well. It can help to shake things up and get losses started again.
