I did manage to drink more fluids yesterday. It is so hard for me during these cold months-all I want is coffee. I plan to make the cranberry wassail in my crockpot to help all of us consume more fluids. Today's menu: B: crockpot choc-pb steel cut oats & lite trimmy (E) L: trim train soup (that recipe sure makes a load of goodness!) with cabbage, radish, cilantro, Frank's & lemon lime "pop" (FP) Sn: celery with pb junkie & ginger trimmy (FP) D: crispy salmon over riced broccoli slaw & skinny chocolate (deep S) Sipper: wassail, pumpkin pie sip

Today's menu is less slow loser and more trying to stick to plan! We have a Drama production tonight with a soup dinner provided, so I will look for broth based soups. My kiddos wanted me to bring my mum's potato and bacon soup, which is NOT THM...at. all. Maybe I'll make a soup that is THM - if there is time! B: eggs whites with bacon garnish, loads of mushrooms, and onion, Trimmy Lite. (FP) L: halibut parmesan bites and a BIG green salad with balsamic and olive oil drizzled over top & a lemon lime "pop" (S) D: broth based soup... Sn: deli meat roll-ups (3) and pickle slices (FP) Sipper: pumpkin pie (hot)

It should have been "kelp noodles mixed with" (fixed post). I did a bag of okra in the crockpot with a small can of crushed tomatos, thyme, bayleaf, garlic and a little hot sauce to make the stewed okra. I had the okra over sprouted brown rice for lunch yesterday with some chicken breast. That was good too.

Thank you, Queen. I think that I will have to try that okra recipe. It looks like a versatile recipe. I love it!

Its cold and I don't want to eat cold food like salads, so I'm going to have to work to get more veggies in. You're breakfast sounds good. Maybe I'll try a sweet potato at breakfast.

I totally understand, Queen. Cold veggies are more difficult to consume during these frigid months. I challenged my kiddos to eat vegetables at every meal, which is why the sweet potato for breakfast. It worked! It's difficult being creative enough to keep it going now.

Carrot cake is an inspired breakfast. Bravo.
I pretty much repeated my line up from yesterday, but in an effort to get some okra in the mix, tonight I made a secret big boy and drank it warm. Well half of it. I'll drink the other half for my last snack.

Thank you! I appreciate Brianna's website - she is a creative young lady. Warm Big Boy? How was that? I would never have thought to do that!

Trying to mix it up. Left to my own devices I would eat toast at every meal. So I tend to prefer E's.
B: (light S) chia pudding with some sunflower seeds and blueberries L: (S) chicken leg with steamed cabbage, spaghetti squash, butter, cranberry sauce D: (E) creamy grains with apple and cinnamon S: (S) 1/2 avocado & 2 bacon strips
For the hot secret big boy, just make as normal but add another cup of water instead of the ice and heat gently. I thought it needed some creaminess, so I added some cashew milk. I think I might try adding okra to the hot chocolate trimmy and see if that works any better. But I wasn't in the mood for it tonight. Maybe tomorrow! Or maybe I'll just stew up another pot of okra.
