I'm trying to add chia seeds into my diet and I was left with the impression that there isn't any need to soak them, but then I read somewhere else we should. Would someone clear is up for me,please?

Chia seeds are one of those gelling items that you need to soak for a few minutes to let the gel form. But to my understanding they don't need soak for long periods of time like grains and legumes.
I love making a quick breakfast pudding (S) from 3T. chia seeds and a cup or more of on-plan milk. I just soak the seeds in milk right in the saucepan for about 10 minutes, and then gently warm until the pudding is hot and thickens. Its lovely with some vanilla and fresh blueberries mixed in.
