I started THM in October of 2016, when my daughter was about 4 months old. I have been exclusively breastfeeding her. Now she is about 10 months old and taking solids but I am still breastfeeding her about 6 or 8 times a day (she is a snacker).
So I am anticipating in the next few months she will be weaning a little bit more. That being said, I have had no luck with losing weight. I have not been entirely faithful (who is?) but I have been more or less on THM (minus some holidays and binge weeks of despair at no progress). I have not attempted a fuel cycle because I was breastfeeding. My pre pregnancy weight was around 134lbs. I weigh now around 148lbs and had seen some pounds loss--down to 138lbs at one point but then I went right back up there to 148. However, I never noticed a difference with clothes fitting better at 138lbs or 'looking thinner'. More or less I feel like I have not had any progress in losing weight since being 3 months post partum. I have done an exercise program to rehab my abdomen and I do not have any type of diastasis. I think I just have belly fat.
My sister-in-law swears that this lack of progress is hormonal and down to the fact that I am breastfeeding and my body will not let go of the weight. She says she had a lot more difficulty losing any kind of weight while breastfeeding, but once she weaned the scales tipped.
So I am looking for some feedback...did anyone else try THM and didn't lose any weight while breastfeeding? I know people said they had success while they were pregnant with not gaining excess weight....I didnt gain more than the normal weight for pregnancy like 25 lbs? But the fat I gained will not leave.
I know they say..you might need more crossovers etc, but I am just eating S and E with not a lot of FPs and getting nowhere.
So I am having trouble motivating myself--that being said, I feel better overall when I dont eat sugar and high carbs..and when I get off plan I dont feel as good--so at least my body is happier? But I would love to see some progress in the looking slimmer category instead of looking 4 months pregnant.
