I was recently reading an article about how using almond flour is not necessarily good for us because it means we are ingesting too many almonds. I wonder if the same is true for flax meal?

If I am allergic to flax and chia seeds, can I substitute with coconut or almond flour...or eggs...or??? There are many recipes (most of them actually) that can be tailored to your needs. With some tweaking you can figure out ways to make many of the recipes work with those other flours. You definitely don't have to eat flax and chia to make this plan work.

I am allergic to whey protein. I really don't want to miss out on the shakes that call for that. Is there any other protein powder you can recommend?

Hi! I have not purchased the book yet, but have been very interested in doing so! My question is whether this will be compatible with my allergies... I have Oral Allergy Syndrome- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oral_allergy_syndrome, hard to explain it ( this is why I put in the Wikipedia article), but it is something where pollen from weeds and trees are present or residual in Raw fruits, veggies and nuts. I unfortunately have this very severe, I react to all categories...I get anaphylaxis reactions ( I really should write a book.. When salads kill...lol). It is rare to have this type of severe reaction (only 1-3% apparently have it to that point) As long as the raw item is cooked/heated to some point I can eat it. So, eating all these wonderful foods raw is out for me...(it started at puberty when all my other allergies became present- I even break out if I touch the plant! It is hilarious to see me garden in my long sleeves and pants so I don't break out as bad!) Does this lifestyle change, ( which is what I really am looking for, not a fad diet!), work with my allergies? From what I have read on the book I love what I see, providing a Biblical basis with weight loss/ healthy lifestyle, I just want to make sure it would be compatible with these (unfortunate!)food issues... Thanks!!

I am allergic to flax. What can I use instead in your recipes, specifically for the breads?

I am allergic to flax. What can I use instead in your recipes, specifically for the breads? Sometimes you can sub almond flour or home ground coconut flour (not store bought - it has a much different texture). There are some muffin/bread recipes that don't use flax as well, which might be great for you.

Hello, I am allergic to ALL meat and corn!! I understand the importance of meat due to the protein that I need but I am allergic to it and it gets stuck in throat. I have eosinophilic esophagitis. I can eat eggs and seafood. Do you have any suggestions for someone like me?
Thank you in advance.

Okay, so I don't even have the book yet, but I was wondering about this specific point as well. The whey is to have a low fat protein source in the shakes, right, so would gelatin work?

I have serious intolerances to certain foods. Gluten, dairy and eggs. I am also for the most part a vegetarian. I really want to try this plan. I like the idea of eating food instead of avoiding foods. So I need some help. Does anyone else suffer from these issues? What are recipes you have tried? I need basics.
I already have replaced milk with almond milk. Butter with palm kernel oil. What can I do for protein since meat and fish are not options for me? So Confused...

Have you read the book yet? That is your absolute best way to get started, and to understand how to implement the plan. There is so much information in the book, it's really irreplaceable. I would especially read the beginning chapters about how the different diet styles Serene and Pearl tried, and the chapters about the different meal types and how they work.
This plan is doable without eggs, gluten, and dairy. Getting adequate protein will be your hardest part, which is why I highly recommend reading the book.

I notice MANY MANY of the recepies have dairy in them. I desperately would love to use them. I love dairy but my stomach does not, even with lactose pills. I have a cheese substitute but nothing for yogurt or kiefer. I have found a 99% lactose free whey powder but a still bothers me a little bit, especially if I use it several days in a row. How can I tweak the recepies for lactose intolerance, especially the ones that call for cottage cheese or greek yogurt?
