Southern through and through...living in TX which is not the south, of course, but I made my way here via KY and then MS. It is way too cold here and rainy. We joke we have two season...summer and not summer. I am so ready for not summer to be over!

I live near Memphis, TN. We have freezing rain today and the kids got out of school 4 hours early due to probable icy roads. Perfect day for chili. I have Pearl's Chili in the crockpot!

Saw that on the weather radar channel on t.v. (My favorite channel, ha, ha)
Will ya'll get any snow? We are having chili, too!

No mention of snow. So far, the news is saying up to a quarter inch of ice on trees, power lines, and bridges. I'm praying we don't lose power.

I'm in middle tn between Nashville and Knoxville. It's rained so much here, I'm thinking I'll need a boat before long. It iced last night and was so pretty on the trees.

I'm in NC, West of Raleigh. Light rain off and on here, but we need it! Tired of seeing the Yadkin River so low.

beckyd...oh good, another NCarolinian! Do you go to Raleigh often? I pick-up CSA stuff in N Raleigh every other Wed & sporadically shop/visit Raleigh outside of that. Have you found a place locally to buy any of the Joseph's items? There's a lot of rain/light rain here & chilly but not too cold.

Sorry mom2aejskajm, I haven't found any place locally to buy the Joseph's items. I got the pitas and lavash when I ordered from Netrition since I hadn't found them locally yet. I do like them and hope to find them somewhere around here. I plan to check a couple of places in Greensboro the next time I'm there. I can let you know what I find, that is, if you ever drive that far west. Sadly, I almost never go to Raleigh - it's about 2 hours from here. I have been to Chapel Hill a couple times recently though because my daughter is using the women's birth clinic there for her prenatal/birth care. I expect to be there from time to time in the next 4 months.
