Hi ladies!
I am about halfway through the book and anxious to get started with the eating plan. What were your favorite meals for getting started when you were still ordering all the uncommon ingredients? I ordered a bunch of stuff today but I would like to start 3 S days tomorrow or the next day.
Thank you!

S days seem to be the easiest for me! I like to make eggs or omelettes with cheese for breakfast. I like to make tuna salad with mayo and put it in lettuce boats for lunch. Any fatty meats with a salad and oil based dressing for dinners. In the book the meatloaf and Serene's Chili are really good S meals. Good luck!

Thanks Carley! Putting together my shopping list seems kind of overwhelming but hopefully in a few weeks I'll know what I'm doing.

Agree with Carley. Egg based breakfasts and easy S salads for lunch. Try the Trim Healthy Pancakes for an E. You'll need oats, egg whites and low fat cottage cheese for those. We top them with berries, non fat Greek yogurt and if you are not a purist , you can swirl on some sugar free syrup.

I love chicken salad with mayo, celery, onions and a sprinkle of pecans! Eat it over salad or with Joseph's pitas if you can find them in-store.

I've also found S meals are easier to start out with, especially while waiting for some of the more unusual ingredients to arrive.
My food from today would be a good example:
B: Scrambled Eggs, with sauted onions, peppers & mushrooms, all cooked with coconut butter, but could just easily use real butter. (S meal) L: Tuna Mayo & Cheese with Oopsie Rolls as a sandwich. The Oopsie Rolls were really easy to make and is mostly just cream cheese & eggs. (S meal) S: Greek yogurt with a dash of vanilla & 1/2 Truvia sachet topped with a couple of spoons of berries. (FP, but could make it an S with some chopped nuts or a E with some other fruit.) D: Crockpot Chicken Alfredo (Page 315) which I'll serve with sauted green beans & onions for my husband and I (S meal) and will make some pasta for our boys (for a crossover.)
If I need another snack I'll have an apple with a spoon of peanut butter, or some Lemon Mousse.
The only thing there that includes a specialty item is the Oopsie Rolls (Xanthan Gum, but I substituted Glucomannan Powder, as that is what I had.) and the Lemon Mousse.

Thanks ladies! I am on the hunt for the Joseph's pitas. Mu local grocery store chain (publix) doesn't carry them so I need to check Walmart.

I did baby steps...first changed over to using Nustevia, then started changing breakfasts, then 2 meals, and now almost to all out THM mode, but like you - have to order a few odds and ends first. Walmart will have your Joseph's items.

Wondermom that is a great approach, changing a meal at a time and working your way up to full plan.

I did a lot of meals with eggs at first. Also sandwiches with the panbread. S salads & TH pancakes as well when I first started. I also really liked the berrytastic smoothie alot before I got my whey powder. Zest of Southwest soup is great, and the loaded fotato soup (I forgot the glucomannan the first time I made it and it was still delish).

I hunted all over Walmart for Joseph's pitas. I finally found them in the deli section on the shelf right in front of the deli case. If you are still trying to find them, you might want to look there.

I highly recommend the salmon - I sprinkled with chili powder and creole seasoning and cooked in butter and coconut oil, and had it with a big salad (have also had it with leftover cooked broccoli and I poured some of the oil I cooked with over broccoli). OH MY GOODNESS! It was so good I almost couldn't believe I was 'allowed' to eat it!
