I had my gall bladder removed 15 years ago (wouldnt have done it if I had known then what I know now, but cant get it back). I was wondering if there are others who have had theirs removed and what you are doing about it? I read from several sources that you should take food enzymes after every meal for the rest of your life. The surgeon sure didnt tell me that! I find that I dont digest food well and am usually constipated. I do better if I remember to take my enzymes. This is my 2nd week of the Fuel Cycle and the deep S days are really tearing me up. By the 3rd S day last week I was so bound up and hurting in the gut. I took several "Intestional cleanse" capsules and had a couple cups of smooth move tea. Well, by the next day, which was FP day, they started working. Very Well. Here I am on the first day of the deep S again and feeling very bound up. Any suggestions? I have done the THM way of eating since Thanksgiving and really didnt have any problems up to this point. I have never done a liver cleanse and would like to do one of those at one point as my liver is probably in bad shape after 15 years of this.

I had mine removed 2-1/2 years ago. It has given me problems a couple times, but only when I have *really* overdone it on either cheese or red meat. I have to be a little careful with fried things too. I have not had any problems for several months, though, and for sure nothing on this diet. I actually do nothing. I have taken enzymes a couple times when I have had a heavy meal, but haven't noticed a difference one way or another. I haven't really ever been consistant with it though, and the flair up's I've had I could count on one finger. Nevertheless, I have heard that kidney and liver flushes are very good to do once a year, especially after having it removed. I was just getting ready to do one, and then got pregnant. You're not supposed to do them pregnant or breastfeeding, so I'm kind of stuck for awhile. Anyway, my hubby is actually a distributor for the Dr. Schulz ones, and highly recommends them. They might be worth checking into for you. www.herbdoc.com

I do have Dr. Schulz Intestinal cleanse, but I havent done the liver one. Maybe I will do some "spring cleaning" on the insides this spring. I have not had trouble doing the regular plan, but the deep S days for the fuel cycle have really bound me up.

I had mine removed 5 years ago, and I personally do better on plan. I usually only have trouble if I eat bread products.

Try not to each much cheese on the deep S days. Are you doing the magnesium tablet we recommend?

I just spent a week with a friend that has had her gall bladder removed. She said the Earth Milk really helped her get going.

I havent tried the earth milk yet. Guess I should give it a go since I have seen several comments about it being good. Im trying to incorporate more fresh veggies, but I seem to feel my salad hours after I eat it. I dont know what it is about salad. Maybe I should have some apple cider vinegar with my salad so I dont burp it hours later.
