Just wondering if there are any THM's in Kansas? Would be fun to know if there are any close to home. If there were some close enough, would be fun to have our own little THM luncheon. I live in Chanute, which is 2 hours south of KC, 2 hours east of Wicita and 2 hours north of Tulsa and 2 hours from Joplin. So, if there were any THM's in those biger cities 2 hours drive isnt too bad.

How neat! My mom and dad worked at Allen Co Community College for 10 years and then retired a few years ago. I still go up there to shop sometimes. Do you still have family there? We have a homeschooling friend whose son is a legislative assistant for Sen. Pyle there at the capitol. Do you know Ty and Amy Roberts? They are the only ones I know that live in Topeka. I think that is 2 hours from me, too. It would be fun to find others in the area. I keep telling my friends about the book and the recipes and I bring food for others to try. I even bought an extra book so I could loan it out to friends because I couldnt part with mine even for a day!

Yay! I was just in Derby Saturday at my brother's for my nephews birthday. Went to Sams and stocked up on cheese. Im trying to get more THM's by bringing recipes places and telling everyone about it. I even bought an extra copy of the book so I could loan it out. Some just dont want to spend $35 not knowing if they would be interested in it. So, I let them look at the extra copy (because I ccant give mine up even for a day!).

My parents were here for the weekend and my dad couldn't put the book down. He enjoyed all my meals and smoothie and some Virgils pop. He has been trying to understand better health habits. I was really surprised that he had any interest in it! I may need to buy an extra book to share too! It was fun to tease him about it being for mamas. ;D

I bought the book for a friend with 11 kids. Her kids were quick to point out that the book was "Trim Healthy MAMA" not "Trim Healthy FAMILY". My kids said the exact opposite last night after having the Dirt Dessert - S Style. I keep telling them they are recipes from Trim Healthy Mama and they all said it should be named Trim Healthy Family. I had to crack up. I cant wait to tell my friend. Maybe when Pearl and Serene make their cookbook they can rename it Trim Healthy Family Cookbook. Maybe more husbands and kids will jump on board.

My husband is following the plan too so I always feel a little silly calling it the Trim Healthy Mama plan, but of course there is the Foxy Mama chapter. . .
