I love this thread ! I am ordering my book this week and so I am thinking it's a good idea to start compiling items ahead of time. I've been reading the forum and FB page but this was perfect and timely for me. Thank you ! I can hardly wait to try the muffin in a mug! I will have to discipline myself not to read all the recipes first! LOL

Marci10 - I believe it's the whole phyllium husks they recommend, not the powder.

Just wanted to give you a source for coconut oil. Columbus Foods (soaper's choice) ahs excellent prices on coconut oil. I buy most of my oils from there (soap, lotion, salve making) and have been very pleased with all of it! For organic cconut oil it is a 1/3 of the price as some others listed.

It depends on which zone you live in. There is a "estimate shipping cost" icon on their website you can use that to see. I have found all their products with shipping to be way cheaper...except sunflower oil I can get that at walmart cheaper altho it is not the high - oleic type.

Hey Tresrockstarts, thanks for your comment on the Pure stevia. Bummer, I just bought the other one (with the maltodextrin), but now I know to buy the Pure next time. I just bought my book and a couple of starter items. Hoping this helps me with weight and my hormones!

Hello, I have a question about some of the specialty breads in the book.
I saw "Lavish bread" listed, along with Joseph's pitas, as breads to use with S meals. So, while I was picking up my Ezekiel bread and Ezekiel tortillas at Sprouts, I asked about Lavish bread and Joseph's pitas. They didn't carry Joseph's pitas, so I picked up Ezekiel sprouted pitas.
They DID have Lavash bread - is that what you're talking about, in the book, when it says Lavish bread?? It's California Lavash, and it's this nice, soft, wonderfully delicious-looking wrap flatbread (kind of like Lahvosh, but soft and not crispy). I mean, this beautiful thing totally doesn't look like I can have it with an S meal! The package label says it's made out of unbleached wheat and all natural, wonderful ingredients - all of the things I insisted on when I went shopping, before I learned the THM "carb-concious" way. It's got 32 grams of carbs, only 2 of dietary fiber. I must have the wrong thing, right? Because three nights, now, I've made a fabulous S dinner, pulled this Lavash bread out of the pantry; said, "This CAN'T be S-friendly! I'll ruin my S dinner with this bread!" and put it straight back into the pantry.
So, help! What is this mysterious Lavish bread from the book? And are Ezekiel sprouted pitas S-friendly like these fabled Joseph's pitas, or do I need to find these Joseph's ones and leave my Ezekiels for the E meals?
Thanks for the help!

Joseph's Pitas are a specific brand Joseph's Bakery, the company also makes Lavash bread very similar to the pitas. They are much lower carb than you have found. www.josephsbakery.com/p-10222-Flax-Oat-Bran-and-Omega-3-Square-Lavash They do have a store locator on their website, they are not available in my area so I order them through netrition.com.

Just remember not to buy the cocoa powder from aldi's. they mentioned in the book how awful it was. I personally buy some of my stuff from Americherb and it is very cheap. They have dark organic cocoa powder for $4.50/lb and stevia white extract powder (90% extract, no fillers) for $23/ lb. I have never tried nunaturals so I can't compare but it should be jsut as sweet. They also have tons of herbs that use to make my own vitamin tintures. I also saw phyllium seed husk powder for $5.20/lb (not sure if that is what they recommend or not). They have a website but you have to set up an account in order to see it. I just asked for a catalog and I just call them to order. Their phone number is 1-800-267-6141. You probably need to leave a message, but they are good at calling back. Why is the Aldi Cocoa Powder awful? Is it because of the taste or fillers in the powder? Thanks.

Glucomannan is a powder. You'll want to find one that is not in capsules. That way you can scoop it or use it in a shaker bottle. Stevia can be powder or liquid. The powders tend to be better, in my opinion. My favorite is the Nustevia pure extract powder. I coulda only find glucomannan in capsules, I figured I could just break them open and use that way until my online order comes....is that ok?

Yes, that's ok, as long as it is pure gluccomannan. No added ingredients.
