Just wondering if anyone has any info on the safety of stevia. I have read a lot about it and now I'm a bit scared to try it! There seem to be many claims on both sides of the stevia argument! There are even claims of it possibly being a contraceptive ! I would love any info any of you may have! Thanks!

The Trim Healthy Mama book discusses health concerns of stevia in the chapter Foundation Foods. I would take a look at that for a lot of answers. As a note, it's important to remember that stevia, the plant, is different from stevia, the product. The stevia herb has been processed in many ways, and each processing method will have different implications. Not all stevia is created equal. Again though, I would recommend reading the section on sweeteners in the book.

Thanks for the reply! I don't own the book currently but I am considering buying it! I just had a couple questions more before I decide to spend the $35. Is it possible to do the plan without using Stevia at all? Is fruit allowed on the plan? Thanks!

Fruit is incorporated into the plan, yes. And some ladies cannot have stevia for one reason or another, and they've been figuring out ways to make the plan work without it.
