I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with a under active thyroid. What have you done for it? I have a under active thyroid. and blood sugar problems, so I don't do many E's. I have found it very hard to lose weight. any thoughts are appreciated

I, too, am hypothyroid due to Hashimoto's Disease. My journey with this has caused weight gain. Just when I loose some my thyroid gets worse and I gain it back. I know what you mean about how hard it is to loose weight. Gaining is so easy when I am not getting enough thyroid medication. I just started THM so I don't have any helpful advice, only empathy at this point.

I am also hypothyroid and take medication for this condition. I have at least 50 extra pounds to get rid of and have just started eating along with the S and E plan. I have also been eating more S meals and became concerned about maintaining variety and balance in providing fuel for my body, so I had an E breakfast including an orange and egg white omelette with vegis. I feel confident that including, and balancing S and E meals will provide the health results as well as the healthy weight loss that I desire. I dropped the sugar from my diet almost a month ago and have improved energy- I also have prediabetes. I am walking at least 30 minutes each day and feel better than I have in many years. Lets keep at it and regain our health.

I am prediabetic and take meds for hypothyroidism, too. If I use more than 3 tsp. of coconut oil per day I am thrown into hyperthyroidism with anxiety, a pounding heart and racing thoughts. It's a dangerous state as it can cause serious heart problems. I made some skinny chocolate yesterday, which is coconut oil based, and unthinkingly ate more than I meant to - I was up until 3 a.m. I was wondering if any of you on thyroid meds have experienced this. I have to tweak some recipes to accomodate these conditions. Hopefully the plan will work anyway. It's important, with blood sugar problems, to have protein and healthy fat with every meal. The fat, more than the protein, protects against blood sugar spikes. I'm on my first Fuel Pull day following 3 Deep S days. I decided to concentrate on protein and skimmed bone broth while adhering to 1 tsp. of a healthy fat per meal. Since I'm not ingesting fat with the snacks, I'm snacking on protein only. Even low carb veggies turn to sugar in the body, so I won't do them w/o some fat.
