Are there any menopausal or post menopausal women out there who have lost weight on this plan? I have tried EVERYTHING and my weight just keeps creeping up. I believe THM is the answer and I would love to hear any success or in progress stories! Thank you!

Yes Kelly. IF you are on face book there is a THM group called the Turtles that you will love. Menopausal women need to include more Fuel PUlls. Have you read the chapter on the Fuel Cycle week? AT the end of that we talk about the idea of taking whole days for FP meals for post meno women. Also, you may need to lighten up some of your S meals. Don't always put cheese, cream cheese and nuts in all your S meals. Sometimes you may only want to pour olive oil on your salad and let that be your only fat. We address that issue in the last chapter of the book FAQ's.
Yesterday we were at a THM luncheon and listened to a testimony of a 60 year old post meno women who is doing our plan with great success.

I am 57, and have been going through menopause for about 6 years now. I have counted calories for years, writing down every bite I ate. But in the last 4 or 5 years it seemed that I would have to eat less and less calories or I gained weight. My daughter told me about THM. I bought the book and have read it at least twice, I bought page markers and now can quickly find what I'm looking for. I have lost 8 pounds eating the THM way. I have tried to stick to eating just S and E meals. I find the meals so filling and feel satisfied between meals. After all those years of counting and and writing down every calorie, I feel like I've been freed from calorie prison!!! I thank the Lord and the girls for their time and effort in putting all this information together.

Thank you so much, Pearl and mamachar! I will check out the Turtles group. Your ideas are so helpful, Pearl. Also, glad to hear women my age are having success. Just started with a will today...had a great lunch on plan...and I'm stuffed! Will def try more fuel pulls after I get the hang of things. I started menopausal symptoms in my mid-thirties and am considered post-menopausal now at 49. Hot flashes are getting better. Seems like I've aged a lot the last 5 years. Pearl's chapter on hormones is intriguing. My mother died at 38 of breast cancer, so it was always NO hormones for me, but am looking into it now. Praising the Lord for finding this healthy way of eating. My husband is doing it too!

I have lost 7# mid. Feb. Have never done a Fuel Pull, but now that I am comfortable with the plan, I think I will! Oh, I am 54 and have been in menopause for about a year. Love the book, the forum, the FB group!

I believe THM is the answer and I would love to hear any success or in progress stories! Thank you! I'm still reading the book and have just ordered some "supplies" from Netrition. I'm 62, and menopause started for me at age 40 rearranging my body! I'm really excited to learn this WOL (Way Of Life). Thank you Pearl, for mentioning the "Turtles" FB page. I've requested to join. Namaste ~~

I am perimenopausal and had to be put on an antidepressant for the hormones. I work night shift so I do take some sleeping pills but I have cut that down to a quater. Hoping to get off the antidepressant with this diet. However in the first week of detoxing my body I have lost 7 lbs and not hungry at all. What a blessing this has been to my life.
