This is a place for encouragement. We want it to be a forum where everyone feels welcome and inspired. We never want anyone to come away feeling torn down or pulled apart.
Part of the Trim Healthy Mama philosophy is to embrace all personality types, we certainly don't have to be clones of one another to achieve our own trim and healthy goals. So let's not debate the issues here. There are other forums for that.
Let's not spend our time going back and forth on whether we should all follow the clean meat laws outlined in the Bible. Let's not make anyone who is not a scratch cook feel inferior and let's not debate whether one should be a vegetarian or eat meat. Let's not debate microwave vs convection ovens, unless we are using light humor of course. Some Mamas here stay at home with a large number of children, others work outside the home, some may not have children at all. All are welcome here. This THM lifestlye can work for everyone. Let's be kind and understanding of other people's convictions and choices on all these matters.
We probably don't have to say it, but no foul language of course. Humor is always appreciated, laughter is good for the health as the Bible says in Proverbs, so is sound advice, life experience and great recipes and pictures. We love that you are here celebrating food, family and your forever trim with us.

I just bought the book too, and I'm in the UK. Can't put it down, but keep needing breaks to go away and digest all the new info I've read. Keep reading bits aloud and getting excited. Husband very keen to make THM way of eating and living our own. He's going to help me purchase some of the items harder to find here in the UK. (He's a food scientist who wrote his PhD Thesis on gums and gels :-) Brilliant idea to have this forum; we're having building work done but as soon as I can cook properly I'll be trying loads of recipes. Happy New Year to you. xx

I have not purchased the book. I was just told about it today by a co-worker and from the things I have read here on your forum I am intrigued and looking forward to finding a copy of your book to study.

The book just arrived yesterday, and I'm on the couch with a cup of tea, my computer keyboard handy (to look things up) and an empty house (for the afternoon at least!). Hours of quiet to dig in and read, read, read. I'm a yo-yo-er... age 50 and with a LOT of weight to lose (90 lbs.). I've tried several diets and am leaving the membership of one to focus on trying this. My problem has always been sugar... I'm addicted! I think God directed my attention to the book cover on the sidebar of a website a week ago to help get me focused on addressing what my main problem is. I'm anxious to learn more about just what I'm putting in my body and how my body is reacting to it. I'm also looking forward to meeting and hearing from others, as well as sharing what I learn along the way.

Welcome pakrats, if you go to the introduction area and post a little about yourself like you did here, more Mamas will see it and begin to know who you are.

I just bought the e-book and can't wait to dig in. I'm going to load it onto my Kindle for reading and start printing it out next week! I read a few reviews before I decided to buy it. I'm tired of feeling tired and worn out - I have 3 young children and a husband I want to be more energetic for. I'm looking forwarding to learning a new lifestyle!!!

Hi! I'm delighted to be a part of THM. I see how to post a reply, but can't quite figure out how to start a new thread, can anyone help me?

Sure. Just go into the category that you want to start a thread in (i.e. S Recipes) and you will see 3 buttons all the way over in the top right hand corner. Click "new thread". Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.
